Hey mate just wondering how you went with the au trans into the Xg? Mine currently only has 2 gears and can’t find any around but plenty of Au, I’ve seen the posts about the bellhousing swap, but was there anything else involved?

gday firstly i am not a mechanic so i rely on others for help ok i had the au auto fitted by local garage they did not swap the bell housing and bolted it up ok i think two bolts low down did not line up the bottom cover did not fit so they made up an aluminum plate to cover flywheel o which is still sitting on the workbench lol we also forgot to change the speedo cog as it reads about 10 k's out but cbf changing it to the correct one as most of my driving is country at 110 which according to gps is 100k's we used the xg floor shifter which adjusted up ok show correct gears as it is a work ute it was done on the cheep and put back on the road as fast as possible so if it is the pride of the fleet don't short cut , swap the bell housing check speedo cogs fit cover plate and check your selector bushes an replace if worn an then drive an enjoy
