Be interested to see what your clevo looks like with all the black aeroflow gear when you got it fitted. i thought of going that way but went alloy instead. Still gotta do Lucy Lu one day and might go that way for a contrast.

Finally found the receipt for the power steering pump. Its a Power steering pump Saginaw Chrome - Pt # RPCR3913. $200 from Outlaw Speed Shop.

I asked this question once b4 and got positive responses about the ebay alloy jobs. The Clevo in Lucy stays nice and cool with a factory rad when im on the move but she really hates sitting in traffic. Airflow and heat transfer are your friends.

Ahhh chromes the go unless your Slydog!

what about a drop base air filter?

No piece of cake. took all of 2 minutes, just screwed straight out. Still looking for that receipt. The ball and chain has been pissing around in the paperwork and "misplaced" it.

Thanks Mate! Sorry i cant remember for the life of me which pump it is. It did have a stud sticking out which i had to remove and put another bolt in because the stud wasnt long enough to secure through the bracket supplied with the bracket kit. I can have a scratch around through all the receipts a bit later cause i should still have it somewhere.

Yeah sorry Bud, GM style. Thanks Tyler. All fit fine with a $9 Aeroflow adapter!

Its a RPC pulley (sorry for upside down pic)

Cheers!

I have just fitted a new saginaw style pump and aeroflow bracket to my clevo. Dont quote me exactly but the pump was $200, bracket $180 and pulley $56. All fitted well.

I know nothing about por15 but id be cleaning the rust out first.

I believe so. i was having trouble starting the bastard when i first got it. I tracked down this solenoid connected to a dodgey relay which connects down to the starter solenoid. 2 of the wires were off the relay and when connected back up the thing started like a dream!

This is the setup on old Lucy Lu! I recon its pretty ugly and cant wait to piss it off. It has an Impco 425 carby on it and standard air filter ( its only saving grace)!

Dave how many more times are you going to post a picture of your bloody car? -
I did see he updates the post a few days ago with: Hi guys sorry about the delay responding. A few family dramas etc put this idea on the backburner.. One issue I found was finding a pourable urethane that can withstand outdoor environment for a guaranteed length of time & I'm still looking. One option was to do them in fibreglass - perfect replica on outside surfaces but obviously glass from underneath. In urethane, they could be done visibly perfect both sides. I obviously have an original to make a mould off whichever way. The projected volume of production would be 10-20. Cost would have to be mid $200's in urethane, cheaper in glass. Not worried about copyright in any way. This is not a major project. I would love to know where the original tooling went. It would have been a rubber injection mould & they're not usually destroyed or lost. Injection moulding tooling could be made (reverse engineer off my sample) but the production volume would have to be around 1000 to make it viable. I would be investigating copyright in this case. Ford would not be a worry but if anyone else has picked up rights that could be an issue.. I'll keep you posted on any situation changes.. Happy Ford motoring! Scott

hendrixhc replied to unfamilia's topic in 6 Cylinder Tech
if you get stuck try these guys. We use them for all seals and orings at work, they are very helpful and knowledgable. http://www.ludowicisealsonline.com/contact-us -
Called self adhesive wheel arch moulding.

Any illumination point would do. Maybe from one of the lights of the cluster or off the surround on the ciggy lighter. Excuse my memory if they dont have them, been 4 years since i looked at it. Volts gauge could be tapped off power to radio as well.

Brake boosters and Master cylinder Compatibility.
hendrixhc posted a topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
So i pulled the master cylinder of the XC today cause its leaking and found out its identical to the XE master cylinder with the 3 ports for lines and 1 port for the switch. This leads me to believe they are compatible. I started up the old girl, just to give her a run, and there was a loud whistling noise coming from round the pin on the booster. If i pushed it back in a bit it stopped. I had a look at the one on the XE and pin appears to be "fixed" in the booster and not free floating like the XCs. This leads me to believe the XC one is stuffed. If memory serves me correctly i had heard that whistle a couple of times while driving. Question is, is the XE and XC boosters the same? If they are ill use the good one from the XE in Lucy for now and look at getting a chrome one for the XE. Other question is does any one know if these chrome boosters are compatible or is there one that has been used in an XE? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CHROME-BRAKE-BOOSTER-8-DOUBLE-DIAPHRAGM-CHEV-FORD-HOLDEN-S3908-/250922378027?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a6c23a32b&_uhb=1 -

Got a quote for $320.40 to get the booster rebuilt today by PBR. Anyone know of any other places that do them? ( In Adelaide) -
OK some questions for the more knowledgeable. What size should you use on a FMX behind a clevo? Mounted vertical or horizontal? Fluid feed direction? top to bottom or vice versa? Good brands, bad brands? What Line and fitting sizes? Theres so many different ones available and they vary on price form $39 to $799. dont mind paying a bit for one but dont want to spend a mozza if a cheaper unit will do.

I was going to make up some stainless braided lines and use -6 fittings.
