Where did i put that bloody ban stick?
-
Xc fairmont GXL is the best. At a pinch XM the worst BUT i like them to.
-
Funnily enough they were the only parts that i couldnt get anyone to rechrome, cause of the process require to do it. If you can get them done Terry successfully Terry, throw up some details, i'd be interested.
-
McFly, Brandon, did it in his xseries.
-
Lol. Does Slydog know your posting pictures of his Ute Ants?
-
Arp studs are way cooler then anything i can come up with!
-
I had to cut down the studs as well they were to long.
-
Whaust studs made it a whole lot easier to line up the headers and gaskets.
-
I recon you just have to unscrew them right out. But do it evenly so you dont brake the white plastic mounts. You can buy them from rarespares if you stuff them.
-
If you try an repolish them the coating will disappear before your eyes. You can go the way Dean shows or another option is to buy some after market standard XE lights and swap the reflectors over. Thats what i did with mine.
-
I couldnt get anyone to repaint the roof and bonnet on the XE. All said they were not interested in the job. I must have have gone to alt least 6 different shops.

Give Paul at Klemzig platers a call. He can point you in the right direction.

dont forget to factor in the fuel fittings and mounting clamps with the braided as well. They do add quite a bit to the final cost, depending on how fancy you want to get. I used a combo of braided and the original hard line and it was still a bit pricey. Average fitting is $15.

Only reason i would run a High volume oil pump in my clevos is so i could get in Street Fords and say shes running a high volume oil pump.
-
Sounds like master stuffed then.
-
Shouldnt be to hard to diagnose. If you crack the line fitting you could see fluid flow, eliminating master and lines. etc
-
I just got dazzled by the pretty boxes and sparkling chrome.
-
Kinda hits home that buying a cheaper rebuilt crate motor is the way to go if just want to get it in and done. Id hate to add up all the receipts for my 2 clevos. The Mrs would hat it even more.

One thing is not to loose the faith Nath. everyone gets ripped or fucks up occasionally. Its how we live and learn. I got a 750 "Holley" sitting here which is testament to that. (Thanks Balzy_6) As i said before use it as a learning block, if it proves to be fucked make a coffee table out of it for the man cave!
-
TBH i would be contacting the guy and seeing what he says. Worst he can do is tell you to piss off.
-
Probably missed it but how much did you pay for it?
-
That was my thoughts. If its to bad chalk this one up to experience Nath and use it for learning with. Source another block and go for it.

Is the bore damaged or pitted from the rust?
