Yeah its a cheap shitty engine leveler. I wouldnt recommend getting one like that as the lifting hooks bent under the weight of the clevo and the handle for cranking the levelling device bent as did the thread started stripping. I dont believe it to be safe. I bought another one to lift the clevo and trans into the Xc and it was much stronger and easier to use.

Not sure on the alloy heads. TBH they are rather expensive and i could get a set of casties done up for less. The ones on Ephie were only $1500 ported and polished with oversized stainless manley valves, crane springs and retainers and machined for roller rockers. Id like to say the 450 - 550hp bracket. Ill have to do a lot of research and questioning on the right combos to go for./ Not real schooled up on that yet. Style of engine should lend nicely to some Aeroflow goodness and the odd polished item!

I recon id be pretty hesitant to do any firmware upgrades on my own car. Based purely on the high failure rate of electronic equipment i have worked on over the last 15 years. I recon it would be better to get ford to do it so if it fucks up its their problem. Nothing worse than the blue screen of death with system error on it.

Wasnt for the FGX was it? I took my FGX into Ford a few weeks ago for a minor bit of work and they informed me the Sat Nat required an upgrade. The FGX has an SD slot next to the USB ports.

Mine both have internal regulators. They are a powermaster brand. Chrome for the win!

I know im running clevos but i got a 100A Powermaster on the XC and 140A on the XE. Easy to fit and one wire connection. think they were only $230 and $280.

I think it would be a good idea to beef up the alternator anyways. The one in my XC was an easy replacement and provides 100A instead of the stock 40A. Even though you are attempting to switch the to fans independently you still ending up drawing 30A-40A. The board up above is only a switching device and as previously stated would be needed to drive a second relay for power purposes. I hope this all makes sense as i just woke up!

I used to make these sort of circuits 25 of years ago to run decade counters with digital displays.

You dont need the charge light hooked up for the one wire alternators, They do not need the lamp as an exciter. There is however a terminal under the rubber cover if you wish to connect them. You basically just need a good earth and a decent charge wire straight to the battery. the other 2 wires can be insulated and just wrapped back in to the loom as they are not needed.

I got one on the side draft on my cortina engine if thats any help to you.
