a speedway guy i used to sell My wrecks(shells ) to. said the falcon once stripped out weighed less than a cortina.
-
yeah a mate of mine ran bags in conjunction with leaf springs and also inside coils on another. they were "helper" type, used for when he was towing etc.. (it was sagged in the rear anyway but he liked that look
-
pump up shocks were just that.. an air back and shock combo.
-
pump up shocks can raise the car though. quite handy for things..
-
i'd have guessed they are same sump, the falcon block may have the rear mount dipstick boss, either needing drilling or punching out a plug? @Thom may be able to confirm.
-
cars weren't designed well for that.. you should see the "self clearance" on BGDAV's XE tail pipe.. the diff made this "header bash" dent, for itself.. we made it dentier for more clearance though and i think it's still made contact on big bumps.
-
the EB falcon recaros are even heavier i reckon,. not sure about others (honda integra seats i had were light) i reckon without it.. it will look like it's missing a bumper..
-
is it for weight reduction? they don't weigh much with the reinforcing removed are you fitting lighter seats, stock ones are heavy..

Jay leno said each "revolution" has benefits, when horses were phased out due to cars taking over, it enabled horse enthusiasts to enjoy them still without the cruelty etc .(other than horse racing etc) then with the electric cars, it will mean there will fuel still available for classic cars even if it's 100% ethanol etc people will still want to use them. be sure to add that into your consulting results.. tourism for classic cars touring Tassie( and anywhere else) will still need petrol stations etc. ** i did see an electric vehicle charger at Mt Field National park and also one at Maleny Botanic Gardens & Bird World in Qld(near Australia zoo)

Bit of confusion with suspension
deankxf replied to L4zyXG's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
how fast is it going to go? do you need a 9inch even? this ute is still running a standard type diff, they are strong and can be done in various ratios https://www.whichcar.com.au/tv/anthony-burns-barra-powered-ford-xe-ute-sleeper -
My dyslexia or something is strong today, i read it as above
-
i only keep 2 in mine, i think any more than that would take up too much space and be quite heavy
-
similar to XC GXL only different thread? (shank is probably different thickness too?) what annoys me is these wheels would have had nuts once.. where the hell do they end up.. almost every set of wheels i've bought didn't come with the nuts. sounds like it's all coming together
-
sounds like it's evolved to near perfect on an almost zero budget! well done.. no dramas mentioned.. also winning!
-
i saw a rwd one that the person just joined the diff universal to the chopped tailshaft yoke and made solid control arms straight to the chassis rails diff wasn't even from the same type of car
-
bugger, the wrong one might me a good base coat though. have you tried ringing 13ford ? some paint shops(not autobarn etc) had paint swatch booklets that may have it in there?
-
just buy another falcon.. can even drive it?
-
a few pallets and some screws... never seen them for sale. i am going to make one for the gemini engine.. i want to keep spare.. just so i can fire it up from time to time
-
can you get them anymore? was wondering about getting one from wreckers off (insert anything that has them) and fitting to My gemini wagon also paint will hold it together?
-
kiling it... i thought about painting that bonnet underfelt with some spray paint. might look ok..
-
i'd add.. what's the budget? costs $5000+ pretty easy, i'm sure @CHESTNUTXE will agree you want to choose the cam/goal of the engine right from the start..
-
XF ones are plastic one piece . thats about all i can help you with, but i like the idea
-
retrim in brown trim and .. perfect.. bonus of the cloth = skin will remain intact on hot days.. warn the missus if she wants same protection she should fund the retrim should go down well..
-
