Cool. So the relay "increases" available eddie's.?
-
Interesting. Do you install the relays in the door frame, ? I like the drawing, even i can understand it. When God handed out the electrical modules for humans, I was chatting up this hot as Angel, and must have missed out. Thats why I play with engines..

Cleveland + Edelbrock Carby hard to start when hot ??
bear351c replied to Platinum Blue's topic in Cleveland
Sure is. Everything in moderation. -
If it's the gasket, usually get water out of ya tailpipe, and radiator will have bubbles in it. (Check under cap, when cool) Not always the case. I'd go with the welsh plug.

Prob need one of these, 50 bux on Fleabay. Sorry, dont have one..................yet.

Cleveland + Edelbrock Carby hard to start when hot ??

Yeap, all of the above. Onya Sly..... -
Fuel starvation?? How many fuel filters are you running? When were they changed? Which pump ya runnin'? Could hook up a fuel pressure gauge to the carby and drive it around a bit. 500 Holley sounds way too big for a redline, 350 should be enough.

Didn't Aussie Desert Coolers sell out to China.???
-
Bummer.......same as mine.

Cheers All. I've got 2 or 3 windows on the Zl, that don't like playing. P/S rear window falls an inch as you drive along, P/S front is slow, etc etc..... So, I was going to stockpile some motor rollers and sliders, and some hinge kits, so I can take a door off and "overhaul" it. Just not sure what they're called so I can order/find some.
-
Any updates?? Mine don't work either.
-
Anyone.??? I'm looking for some of these.....either FoMoCo or El Cheapo. Comes off one of these things...... Trying to locate some for the electric windows in the ZL. What do you cal them? Rollers? Slides? Guide wheels? Know where I can source some? Cheers, Bear.

Thanks James, was just looking for that.!!
-
Yeah, agreed. It's not that I need or use it a lot, but if you're trying to maintain a 'stock/factory' looking car, it's nice to have everything working.

Success. Got frustrated, and soldered the green/red wires together on the loom plug going into the TC. Brake lights again!! Pulled the globe holder out of the TC so I dont get the "Stop Lamps" light coming on when I brake. (2nd photo) Big thankyou to Nigel (Xfalc) his pics and tutotrial were invaluable.

Just thought I'd chuck up some photos, for future readers.
-
Cheers, mate. Found a dry solder joint on one of the pins going into the main harness plug. Fixed him up, now the clock works, but, still no brake lights....
-
Aaahhh........got this prob on the ZL, I bought the other day. Interesting read, anyone find a company that rebuilds the Trip computer.? I currently have no brake lights, trip comp keeps working off and on, etc, etc... Changed globes/fuse/brake switch. Still no joy. Pulled the TC out, and disassembled. Mine has 4 rows of circuit boards, (not 2 like Nigel's excellent photos. Thanks mate) All of which have had solder surgery at some stage. Will try the inchworm bridge fix.......

Yep, like the one's I saw. I was being lazy, and wanted to know the drill sizes, etc....... "Not the Kingwood............I just carpeted the mudflaps"
-
Cool. I saw some sets on Fleabay, but they didn't come with instructions.
-
Have you fitted them, wagoon? Never done one, back when i had my XD, I just went to Ford and bought new hinges. I'm guessing you just drill the holes out and press in the new bush..?

Anyone bought a kit? Just bought a ZL, with DDDS (dropped drivers door syndrome) Would like to keep the original handle before it breaks.
