  1. yep, also from the rear of the wheel arch to the end of the rear quarters are also a tad bit longer on fairlanes than falcons found that out one day when I bought some side bumper extensions off an xf painted them up all nice & went to put them on my zl & they just weren't long enough.

  2. Thanks dean, I found out yesterday when i went to pick a part the xf carbied style sender has a smaller hole in the tank than the efi one no matter ive figued out a way to connect the efi sender hose up to the v8 hardline. In regards to the fuel tank id have to get one out of a zk zl that is carbied since the rear end is longer than the falcons yeah ?

  3. Hi all need to know if xe or xf 6 cyl carb fuel sender will fit in to my fd ltd fuel tank which used to be efi 6, reason I'm asking is cos atm I'm running the v8 with the original efi 6 fuel line which has an inside diameter of 6mm whearas the v8/6 cyl carb fuel line has inside diameter of 8mm I got a v8 fuel line off a fc ltd from the wreckers the other day but the sender is no good to me as the hole in the fuel tank on my ltd is much bigger in diameter than the sender unit from the. fc. So I thought I'd ask here first instead of making another trip to the wreckers to find out that it won't fit, thanks in advance.

  4. I unplugged the test panel/trip comp. And ran a wire between the 2 green/red wires & the brake lights work thank fook for that but when I plug the test panel back in they don't work so I guess it's time for a new test panel. In the mean time I'm gonna pull this one apart & have a look inside.

  5. Seems like everyones having trouble with their brake lights/cruise control/trip computer lately anyway I bought another cruise control unit from pick a part plugged it in & still no brake lights so now I'm gonna unplug the test panel and jump a wire to the 2 green/red wires & see if that works hopefully it does & then I'll know that there's a fault in the test panel & go & buy another one of those. Funny thing is I had a spare one couple of months ago from when I stripped an fe for parts but sold it on gumtree oh well.

  6. Gday all my second question for today is does anybody know what would cause the stop lamps in my zl to stop working? I've been trying to figure out the problem for about a week now with no results. I have power at the fuse I've got power at the switch connectors & I have power at the tail lamp sockets when the parkers/headlamps are on I've grabbed a whole bunch of extra switches from pick apart & bought brand new bulbs but still the brake lamps won't come on the tail lamps do though. Is there supposed to be a earth wire from the the tail light panel to the brake light loom? Any help would be awesome thanks-

  7. When I did my v8 conversion I kept the trans loom from the bw35. Plugged in except for The end bit which pugs into the neutral safety switch which is a white pug which is a female plug I put male clips on the end of the 4 wires from the c4 trans & plugged them into the white plug which was off the bw then I bridged a wire to one of the wires on the c4 can't remember which one exactly but this fifth wire goes to the starter motor.

  8. G'day all I want to know if it matters which way the heater hoses go. On my clevo I have the hose from the block going to the left outlet & the hose from the water pump going to the right outlet on the firewall with the heater valve. I've seen a few photos with Clevos having it my way but I've also seen some pics with them hooked up the opposite way so does it make a difference?

    Cheers-Chris
