YES mate they are.
-
Are the XD-F rear louvres the same as the ZJ-L ones
-
I got my rear window Louvre for my zl off a fellow oz/xfalcon member, ive seen them on gumtree/eBay every once in a while too.
-
Ea Fairmont had steelies with plastic hub caps.
-
EB1 and 2 had those same mesh ones. EA Fairmont & Ghia had the turboblades same as EB and ED Fairmont.
-
Sorry mate I thought the eb2 Ghia got the same wheels as ed Ghia (carry over), thanks for clearing it up.
-
Those were on all ED Ghias. They didn't change. NC wheels changed very late though, not long before NF.
-
I read that these wheels are eb Ghia to ed series 1, but these wheels are ed series 2

The rhr snowflake on my Zl is originally an EA spac rim that i got from the Wreckers years ago and paint stripper is what i used to get the silver off and i use goldrush metallic to give them the esp look.

I stripped a set of EA S-pack snowies and they're the same wheel under the silver paint. Same machined surface on the lip and spokes but the paint is so thick that in stock form it looks as-cast.
Centre cap changes the look too. Early ones had a continuation of the spoke pattern (ie ESP) but later Ghia and S-pack ones had the "hub nut" looking one. I have them on my XE and looks fine.
The rims look very chunky and solid, but I did a little trick and softened the chunkiness of the rim a tad. With the car on stands and running in gear, I got a flapper wheel on my grinder and put a 5 mm chamfer between the rim face and the internal circumference. Visually softens the wheel and makes it look slightly bigger.

No i didnt put spacers on the back, id say its 80 -90mm from the cat to the ground im using an old push rod which i cut at 100mm as a reference.
-
Thanks fellas appreciate it, but ive fucked up again i took thé massive tall springs out of the front and glued 2× 10mm spacers together on each side to give me a 20mm lift in thé front and drove onto a flat pièce Of ground & thé cat converter is thé lowest point now on thé car and is less than 100mm so ive gotta take out thé lowered springs & shocks again & put thé tall springs & shocks in again silly me,well atleast itll be easier now by removing thé bump stop plates first.

hi guys i bought these the other day & im not too sure if they go on top coil spring or between the coils. -
Cheers mate.

Curious to know if the XE ghia/esp xf ghia wheels were designed and or made in nz. I've seen on the inside of my wheels FNZ which I can only assume stands for ford new Zealand or does it mean something else?.
-
Cos they were the original springs/shocks out of the Zk wreck in the backyard (I don't have anything a little taller than the king springs & I'm not robbing bits off the ltd for a roady). Yeah I used my iPhone 3 as reference & it is bout 4" & couldn't stand it up straight without it hitting the extractors.

Hahaha

This is on my ZL, so all the switches are on the drivers armrest. Nothing on the console.
Prefer them on the console, My FC LTD had them there, so does my NF, keep reaching for them and sticking my fingers in the ashtray.......
-
I'm gonna change the springs/shocks back after I get rwc/reg.

Look at how high the fucker is now in the front end looks like one of those old school gassers
Outback Jack reacted to this -
that's passenger side done now onto drivers -
Got both out. Now I m gonna put the new ones in & then start on drivers sidethese are the ones I got dean from burs on
Outback Jack reacted to this -
Cheers dean, I got the tie rod off by smacking the thread with the nutt on. The new ones come with new nuts pins etc.
Nath and Outback Jack reacted to this -
The threads on the bj and tie rods are completely seized onto the stub axle wacking & smacking with the hammer and fork tool seems hopeless.
