I'd say hopefully that's where it is so tonight when I get home I'll take the glovebox off and have a squiz, thanks for the help fellas.

Is it the vent that blows air to the floor in the cabin?
-
It fell down the square opening on the passenger side when u take off the plastic cowl grille so I don't know exactly where it is but I definitely know it fell down the hole or vent.
-
I think I'll pass on that & just leave it in there or keep trying with the magnetic tool pick up thingy.

Was trying to hammer down a dent in the cowl panel on my ltd and the dolly slipped out of my hand and fell down a the hole on the passenger side. I've taken off the guard to see if there's an opening at the bottom but can't see one , I also bought a magnetic slinky type thing to stick down the hole but that isn't working either.any ideas on how to retrieve this dolly?.

Not sure about that but I would think that for example a june 85 build xf ghia would have 6/85 stamped on the wheels. But mine are a mix of xf ghia ea s pac which have different months/years stamped on them which I got from the wreckers.

I think it only matters if you're doing a full on resto and want the correct wheels with the correct month/year stamped on them that go with that model car.grabbing singles from different models is fine imo. My snowflakes were all built in different years.

The one on the left is to coil + the one on the right looks like it plugs into the throttle position solenoid.

Hi guys I've gotta put in new bushes in the rear upper trailing arms in the Zl & want to know if I can do it by reversing the rear end up onto car ramps? Also the bolt at the rear of the arm does it have the nut welded to the bracket at the other end or do I need to get a spanner on the nut & a ratchet on the bolt head? Cos if this is the case it looks like I need to remove the wheels/calipers & rotors to get to the nut.

heres the models that i know of that came with the snowflakes
1 xe esp
2 xe ghia
3 xf ghia
4 zl fairlane 87 model
5 zl fairlane sportsman
6 ea s pac
7 nc III fairlane sportsman
i think thats it. looks like the 91 xf falcon s ute also had em from factory

Yeah u told me that Joe.

From what I have been told the early esp wheels the spokes were unmachined but the I think xe xf Ghia spokes were machined like in polsons pic.

I was getting really frustrated with it on Sunday then the druggie fron next door comes out & goes "should of bought a holden" I told him to shut the f up b4 I jump over this fence and stab u in the head with my screwdriver & he quickly went back inside ha ha. I wasn't gonna stab him though but it was funny.

in Wheels and Tyres

Thanx for the replays guys, I spoke to Steve from Steves wheels in sunshine (round the corner from me) he said he'll do the 4 wheels & centre caps for $400 + $80 to remove & replace my tyres & balance them so I'm looking forward to getting them done in the next couple of weeks.
