Yes the 82 FD 6 was carby.
I think the xe series had the most engine/transmission combos of all the xd xe xf series

It is registered & i drive every couple of weeks to my gf's place & brothers place if the weather is good.
Yes it was an efi 250 my brothers & i did the conversion back in late 2012 6 months after i got it as i wanted to put a V8 in it & i was able to get a ZJ fairlane 302 complete car for $600 (the car was very rough but the mechanicals were good) so i bought it.
I used the engine, trans & tailshaft off the Cleveland driveline from the ZJ.
The diff is the factory 2 pinion 2.77:1 LSD. (goes really well on the feeway)

Hi guys many years ago i thought it would be a good idea to seal up my sunroof to stop rain leaking in anyway now i have a carport for the FD i decided to get the sunroof opened again which meant scraping the silicon away but now im gonna need a new seal & tidy it up i believe the news seals are from usa & hard to come by ive also heard about using products from clark rubber. What would you guys recommend i do about this?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried the paintless dent removal option yet b4 doing the sanding/filler route?

This is how i have mine. Left hose from firewall to block & right hose from heater tap to water pump.

Does blue block mean pre xc xd?

Got the manifold today, will put it on sometime soon, just getting the AU ready for a rwc nxt week, noticed last night there is a slight leak coming from the rear muffler liquid/condensation dripping on the driveway.

17 hours ago, gregaust said:Just use the RTV , Sit manifold on the block with gaskets first . Measure the gap . Ensure bead is a little bigger than the gap . Make sure block is spotless clean , then put a light wipe on the block . Then lay your bead .
Then a light wipe on intake . The light wipes ensures the bead takes to itself better .
Thanks heaps

Thanks for the reply's guys, now im thinking of just using rtv bead for the front & back i dont want the thing to leak.

13 minutes ago, CHESTNUTXE said:i use them ,and a dab of sealant, but if your heads and manifold have been machined a lot you might run into sealing problems, its all a matter of what you like and have used some just use the bead of silicon and if your swapping manifolds out regulary probly is the go,but factory engines use the cork.my 400 gasket kit had big rubber ones that snapped into place .
Thanks mate, its just a stock 302 nothing special just gonna change the stock manifold to edelbrock performer manifold now that i have the 600 holley on so i guess i will use the corks then as i dont plan on switching & swapping manifolds regularly.
CHESTNUTXE reacted to this -
Hi guys i have a question about the cork gaskets that go on the front & back of the block, ive seen the clevo kings vid on yt & he doesn't use them do you guys use them or is it better to discard them & use the rtv on the front & back. Im not sure what to do. I will be getting an edelbrock manifold soon & fitting it, just trying to do my research now instead of later.
