fairlane/ltd rear quarter glass TRIM removal
Free.51 replied to Free.51's topic in Body and Exterior
Figured out how they're held in, there's 2 screws holding 2 clips to the body one at each end & the trim is held on to these clips -
Gday all I need to take off the bottom piece of trim around the rear quarter glass on my ltd to do some rust repairs but I don't know how to get it off, the side piece is held in with 4 screws anybody know how it comes off? Thanks in advance Chris

Yeah the alluminium trim on the outside, thanks agentkiwi I appreciate it. -
I unplugged the test panel/trip comp. And ran a wire between the 2 green/red wires & the brake lights work thank fook for that but when I plug the test panel back in they don't work so I guess it's time for a new test panel. In the mean time I'm gonna pull this one apart & have a look inside.

Gday all my second question for today is does anybody know what would cause the stop lamps in my zl to stop working? I've been trying to figure out the problem for about a week now with no results. I have power at the fuse I've got power at the switch connectors & I have power at the tail lamp sockets when the parkers/headlamps are on I've grabbed a whole bunch of extra switches from pick apart & bought brand new bulbs but still the brake lamps won't come on the tail lamps do though. Is there supposed to be a earth wire from the the tail light panel to the brake light loom? Any help would be awesome thanks- Chris

Seems like everyones having trouble with their brake lights/cruise control/trip computer lately anyway I bought another cruise control unit from pick a part plugged it in & still no brake lights so now I'm gonna unplug the test panel and jump a wire to the 2 green/red wires & see if that works hopefully it does & then I'll know that there's a fault in the test panel & go & buy another one of those. Funny thing is I had a spare one couple of months ago from when I stripped an fe for parts but sold it on gumtree oh well.

Thanks for your help I'll check out some wreckers & get this part & see what happens.

When I did my v8 conversion I kept the trans loom from the bw35. Plugged in except for The end bit which pugs into the neutral safety switch which is a white pug which is a female plug I put male clips on the end of the 4 wires from the c4 trans & plugged them into the white plug which was off the bw then I bridged a wire to one of the wires on the c4 can't remember which one exactly but this fifth wire goes to the starter motor.

G'day all I want to know if it matters which way the heater hoses go. On my clevo I have the hose from the block going to the left outlet & the hose from the water pump going to the right outlet on the firewall with the heater valve. I've seen a few photos with Clevos having it my way but I've also seen some pics with them hooked up the opposite way so does it make a difference? Cheers-Chris

Gday guys have a quick question do you guys have loctite on your bolts that go to the pinion flange I haven't got any on my bolts but I recently bought some loctite so I thought might have to undo the bolts & put some on sounds like a safe thing to do but is it necessary? Cheers-Chris
