    Tyre Recommendation

If its an xh get some of those sunraysias and the light truck tyres on them as fitted to the one tonne utes. That will give you max life but it will be complete utter shit to drive. Especially if you go a 14 ply MRF or similar. Drove a cruiser on those and it was fucking scary but could drive over fire, satan, and eric cartoon without a sweat. My votes on tyres Goodyear eagle ga's - fucking shit, soft shoulders and my sole chopped em out easy as. Falken - were great on my eb, but that car would chew the shoulders. It was best on Kumhos actually. The xf is on kuhmos had good run with those. The xf also chews the outer edge, but been playing with the alignment a lot on that and its paying results. Golf is on michelins. Fuck me put those fuckers on at 95,000 car now has 170 on it. fucking brilliant if a bit noisy Toyos the golf had those on it for about 60k those were nice and quiet too. Id buy another set of those too Yokohama c drives i had on my mazda and they were brilliant, but the wear was pretty average. Only got 35,000 on those. So my summary is: If you're doing a few miles get a non directional tyre so you can swap em around. I usually like a non aggressive tyre, with a hard square shoulder and a section which is rubber all the way around. Open tread usually gives more noise For falcons I'd look at the kuhmo, or hankooks they seem to go okay on those.

    4 Pattern camshafts

For the weribee/elifabeff/joondalup/rocko crew a 4 pattern cam is not a different lobe on 4 different cam lobes.

The shit ripco sells comes from the toilets on a mine site. All the oil in the food day gives it the consistency of marshmallow.

It's when you go over the bump and then have to have a change of plan because you're looking at a tree or b double. That's in its most extreme. But if your chasing the car after it goes over a bump it's got bump steer issues. It's measured by measuring deflection left or right as the suspension compresses. Adjustable height on the tie Rods allow to adjust this out as the steering linkage perceives an arc which causes the toe change during compression.

Yeah went back to lows instead of superlows for this reason. Our birds were never meant to be that low with factory hardware. If only someone did wedge kits here in oz the story would be much better, as you could then clearance the bump stop area to maintain travel. But then you need shock tower spacers etc. Joys of old cars

    This is crap....... :(

Well afraid to say this but here goes: Business (particularly corporations) are pathological in their intent. Business solely exists to deliver money to shareholders, and yeah if you get a batch of known shit, someone will inevitably do an analysis of keeping the junk and paying on warranty, vs junking it and getting quality ones. This is a perfect example of this, diesel gate is another. The only weapon you have against this shit is to complain like a bitch, constantly. Its easier for business, while the screw the silent majority. Moral of the story: Doesn't pay to be nice, be a cunt. This excludes small mom and dad style businesses - while they exist to turn a profit, there is a degree of morality to them missing from bigger concerns.

    XA-XF vs XG Steering Box

Most shops put the xg roller in them when they reco them. Its a different cover plate as well to take the roller bearing instead of a bush. Mind you 600 hp and 165 section tyres = no problems on turning radius.

    XA-XF vs XG Steering Box

Addition of cylinders decreases turning radius.

500 will still give a shove in the back. Why go all mental over full huge cams which give a crappy idle and hammer the valve train? Unless you wanna race it of course
