Lord_fahrquhar replied to FOMOCOHO's topic in Transmission and Differential
Haven't heard about fg's but it's cheap pice of mind. And it's polished so is sexy. -
ZL or XF front disc pad replacement.

You know given the price of rotors these days would you even bother with a skim? Get some slotteds you know you want to -
Oh fucking lol on that one. No officer it's electric. The engine doesn't exist until you actually open the bonnet. So there's a good chance everyone's driving a blown ls but don't know it... Hmmm doesn't make the golf sound any less shit and diesel like

Can take jacks cat Box it Add a flange and that should give a meaty note

Would it be wrong to say that shit should be on pornhub?

Nah ea-ed are ford 60 pin ef au are 105 pin but need crank angle sensor too. el is slightly different 60 pin with some changes. Easiest way is to take the whole el loom and just splice on the 8 pin plug above to get it to mate to the xf. Do a search for el pinouts to get your colour codes right and ya away
-
If you get all the sensors and plugs it will all go in. The air inlet temp sensor I used the hole on the rear of the xf inlet, coolant temp sensor is the same Just need to mount the maf and away you go. I'd go mega squirt next time as easier to add turbos and shit later

I have this setup in my xf. Its easy to do, take an el loom and connect the 8 wires into the main xf wiring harness by the brake booster. This will be basic switched power, oil lamp and coolant temp and kam (keep alive memory) and clutch. Can then use a j3 chip and tuner pro rt to tune it. If you have a moates quarter horse you can tune in real time too. These two pictures describe it and taken from http://www.xfalcon.com/forums/index.php?/topic/11173-eb-efi-management-to-run-an-efi-xflow-thread/ Am I allowed to post that without being vilified lol?

Well The only 1 up on that is the 427 sohc the penis extension that puts John Holmes to shame

Really depends on power you want. Up to 400 go with the Windsor. More than 400 you'll need to 351 block.

Clevo fits but hits heater pipes. Some cut these off and use the aircon pipes for heater and remove the aircon. Wheezer fits better though.

Pipes munted Stainless is beckoning

Hmmm I know if you shove a cat in your zorst you might get some baked meat smells and some meowing. Get your egt's right and the car should purr along. Having said that a regular moggoe is better than a British shorthair if chasing maximum performance from your cat. The more dense hair traps more pollutants. Failing that the ford bricks ain't too bad just have to convert them from 2.25 to 2.5 if going up size

Door handle well that's just general maintenance

Camtech ct-142 503b 110 probably a bit small for your combo but really drivable. I'd lean toward the 517 something to be said for low down torque than outright power

hi guys as you know i have an astra pump in my ute, and have been running atf 3 in it. Have found that the thermal expansion of atf causes the pump to get noisy when warm. pentrite do ldas fluid which is the correct type for these pumps. Fluid doesnt expand as much when warm either. mind you atf will do in a pinch but if it gets noisy, then this will solve it. David -
Yeah this could be a good rhjng

Started with Dex 3, for two months then changed to ldas Yeah fast movements of the wheel can drop the pressure quicky. Not as noisy now either.
