    It will fall out the tray under acceleration. But don't leave it in. My brother xg had some rubber mat in the back and the tray is just a fucking mess. Held condensation under the mat against the tray floor. Its got more scale and flake than a drag queens makeup. I cut some of it out last weekend ahead of the fuel tank and it was horrible. Reckon I've got a new iron ore mine in the making in Adelaide.

    Used that ripple finish shit applied with a schultz gun. Used the 3m water based stuff from supercrap, goes on okay and cleans up easy. I'd use the non water based stuff next time, the water based stuff is more sensitive to surface prep. Where you get dings and scratches can of black paint and bingo, looks schmicko again. Its cheap too about 25 bucks a bottle, and you'd need 2 to do the tray. Some back satin rattle cans to finish the gaps. Mind you with the work you have done back there, I'd just paint it satin black. The welds and general finish you got there is tops Rob. David

    Nah just go the man bar on the back. Did that on my eb and had the adjustable set on the full on man setting. Was fucking excellent on dirt.

    Its a piece of piss. The guts swap straight over, you have to drill out the postive output a smidge and get a different front bearing.

    Did the vn 85 amp conversion. does the job. But like most big alternators needs a few rpm to crank it up

    Its all about matching your spring rate to shock rate. Bit of a black art, but look for a progressive rate coil if you can get it in a lower format, and fit shortened bump stops, as these things have fuck all travel when lowered.

    I got el wags diff and springs in mine reset 2" lower. Rides nice. You could drive it down the road, hump ya missus in the back and not break her pelvis.

    Look up resomat http://www.trufitcarpets.com.au/resomat.htm I got a bitumenised felt underlay for my ute and works a treat.

    No, reason being that in those days all the different parts variations kept people in jobs! However, most column cars did not get the floor hump. So if converting you'll need an xa-xe bolt in hump or cut and an xf one out to suit.

    In the booster there is a ceramic disc which the pushrod passes through to the booster. If you hear a hiss its likely cracked and leaking air past the booster. Only happens if you put a bit of force on it. = increased air to engine higher idle.

    LPG and cold starts

    Lp can be a bit of a cunt if it's a simple mixer ie Amos ring. a good way to check is to get it started and on the converter fiddle with the idle mixture screw. This is only a small screw nit the big brass one. Usually sits next to the outlet. The big brass one is sensitivity so crew it in to reduce it screw it out to increase. It's like accelerator pump in a carby. The in line screw is fast speed this is the last to tune only if it stumbles up high. Balancing these is a cunt. If its a lovato or impgas system much easier as these adjustments are done on the mixer not the converter.

    Yeah they're tricky. Rare spares have to be told you want to big one, the commodore ones are too small.
