I've delt with competition coatings in nth coburg a couple of times, and they are great to deal with. The black is for higher temps, and is what was recommended for my dump pipe, but the alloy/silver coating has dropped under bonnet temps on the misses' 351 a heap and look great. The heat wrap will kill the pipes, as already mentioned. I wouldn't imagine you'd need the black on a 4.1. I'd be inclined to make up a heat shield where the cable passes the pipe, more than wrapping the cable. I also had one of these made, because the nut would melt its way into the original plastic one.

As an electroplater by trade, I say. Listen to Hendrixhc. Taking them to a electroplater is the only way to remove the chrome, sand blasting will not work, and soda blasting won't even touch the chrome.

quick e series diff conversion questions

Cav, when I fitted a EB diff into my ZL, I used a hand brake cable out of a NA and it fitted without mods, was just two piece instead of one. If your interested I've got a EBII sedan diff sitting in the back yard that I need to get rid of, complete disc to disc, with control arms and swb tail shaft in 3:23 LSD. -
Use a heat gun to shape it to the rear window ( sedan ) , just lay it on the out side with the tint film on the glass side, then heat until it shapes to the compound curve of the window. A mate of mine is a tinter, and watched him do mine, works a treat. Oh, I've got 5% on mine and haven't been done yet.

Sounds like its not aligned with crank pulley.
