Sure, just make sure the flap inside the snorkel is in the cold air position.

It's not a vacuum switch, it's a vacuum delay valve. black/brown=2 sec min, 5 sec max. black/green=9 sec min, 20 sec max. theyre common on all XD/E/F's, just get the right Color one, and going by the workshop manual, the black side goes to vacuum source. although, non of these things are needed unless you are hooking up all the emission gear. and the one your looking for just helps warm the motor up quicker, by getting it to suck hot air off the exhaust manifold.

XFalcon I think, not sure if it was ever finished.

Early XE, later have small numbers and different plug, but mount the same.

That's what mine runs, it's got a piggy back Ecu stuck up under the dash, that runs two extra injectors, and is also hooked up to the dizzy. but it's not a MV car.

Key doesn't unlock all doors, armrest switch does, but tired actuators and nearly broken wiring between door and car all pull volts, but not much else. i haven't seen a XE with the relays in the door, maybe later ones had them, had a ZL that had them. wouldnt surprise me if the alarm people disconnected your original actuators and fitted aftermarket ones to get the central locking working with the alarm. im after a relay setup if anyone has one, or the wiring diagram to make one.

Had a TE Cortina with a 200 in it when I was a great deal younger, I scared myself when I put a tacho cluster in it, didn't know you could rev a straight six that hard.

That first bit is GOLD!

For warranty, if the center is melted out, it been cooked. from memory.

Is a Haltech F10 any good?
-
I knew it was something like that with the pick up tube, but it's been 30 years since I owned a Corty. but I'll disagree with you on the dipstick tube hole in the block. ive got a XD sitting here at the moment with a ball bearing in the rear hole, and it's a numbers matching car.

And one of the main caps have a threaded hole for the oil pump pick up support, in cortina.

Here's a part Mike Vine, part Graham Ritter set up I'm playing with at the moment. dont care what it goes like, it just looks cool.

Ok, no spec card with it, maybe he doesn't want anyone stealing his secrets. but stamped on the end is . 503B, 422B, 113.

I'll have a look today, I've got a new one sitting in a box somewhere.

You could be right on that.

I'm saying that all snowflake wheels have a machined rim, and the surface of the spokes were machined aswell on all snowflakes, except on wheels for ESP's and Sportsman ZL Fairlanes, not because they were getting " daggy ", even "82 Ghia wheels were machined, ZL's were toward the end of the wheels life, yet weren't machined. so, if you want to have a set of gold snowflakes, just like a ESP, either buy a set of ESP rims, and get them recoed, or, find a set of Sportsman rims, and paint them gold. dont do what chestnutxe did, that looks crap, but if you want to go that way, get the face that the center cap sits on machine down so the cap sit level with the spokes, but that will then create other issues with how the cap holds to the rim. it'll still look crap though.
-
That's a machined rim, have a look at the spokes. ESP rims are as cast, so are ZL sportsman, for all those that want to mock up a set.

I've got my so its low speed normal, and high speed when aircon is on. but my fans have 3 wires coming out of them, so different wiring to yours.
-
That would be my missus's

What, the number plates and user name don't give it away? Yeah, I've had it for about 12 years now, and, no, it's not for sale.

Saw those Aussie Speed crossy blower setups at the Ballarat swap meet yesterday, look cool, but also don't look very efficient. I'd go turbo, because I wouldn't want a offset blower hanging out the bonnet, and, I'm bias.

Dogs act !! But I can see the car being sold the moment it's finished, as the orange one was. So this should really not come as a shock.
