    Line locker fittment

Yeah garth you can buy an adapter. Either back to 3/8 x 24 or 10 x 1. Either of those flare nuts fit 3/16 tube. Up to you and whatever nuts you get. If you want I can post some up to you. We've got them at work.

    Line locker fittment

I've fitted a few wilwood ones over the years to peoples cars. Just put it in the line down the body to the rear brakes usually Rob. To keep the rears off. I guess you could use it to hold them on but as stated above for staging you need to be able to move. Another thing would be if the solenoid is normally open or normally closed. If it was a normally closed one then you'd have to have it energized the whole time your driving and eventually the coil on it would burn out and die. Just something else to ponder...

    Ed diff into xf

Yeah its a brakquip part. Surely if thet deal with brakquup they can get it or at least look it up. If you have any hassles getting one I can post one to you. We've always got them here.
  5. Yeah you can get the 250 lines modified to suit the v8 pump setups. I've done mine and Hendrixhc and a couple of others through work. Its part of my work at enzed.

    Trans coolers

R6 hose will be fine for tranny cooler. I sell this at work and run it on my own car as well with no probs. Its great stuff but no good sor being submersed in fuel.
  7. This is mine in my xe. Check out my build thread fir more if you want.

    Shifter Cable

We sell the silcone and fibreglass one at work and I've fitted it to a few shifter cables over the years and haven't had any problems with it. Its not cheap but it works.

    Oil cooler opinions

Nah not really mark. The more expensive but best option is to use teflon as it has the highest tolerance for heat. But its pretty expensive stuff. Especially in the size your after. I have used push lock hose at work for oil lines. There is a heat resistant steel braided hose that we have at work that has a fabric outer which is my prefered option for oil cooler hoses. Only thing is you need crimped ends. Which isn't a problem for me...

Push lok is pretty good too. Just after a few years of driving it goes hard. Thats 5/8 barbs? Looks the goods too. Just be carful using push lok and hose clamps tho. The way they are designed to work is for thefor the barbs to bite through to the fabric braid. You dont actaully meed clamps and they can cause the barbs to bite too far into the hose and cause a weak spot and leaks.

Yeah mark use an fittings with either crimped ends or the reusable screw on type mate. That hose is rayed for decent pressure but the ear clamps will be the weak point.

    Ed diff into xf

No worries at all. Have fun changing it over. It not too hard. I did it in my xe a few months ago. New diff ratios was the thing I enjoyed the most. And disc brakes...

    Ed diff into xf

Even try a enzed or pirtek if there is one near you. I work at Enzed in ballarat and we stock them parts.

    Ed diff into xf

Ok then so you've probably got the opposite of what you need then. You need the male end to be the bigger 10x1 and the smaller side to be the 3/8 x 24 with the inverted seat. You haven't take the old diff out yet then I'm tipping. When you do check what seat it on it. Is it an inny our an outie...lol

    Ed diff into xf

From what I've found out off the ends on the hoses you shouldn't need an adapter in an xf as they are both 10x1 with a bubble flare. It should screw sraight up. Xd and xe have the 3/8X24 imperial thread. Have a look at the end thats is on the car. It shoyld be the same as the one that you have of the ed.

    Ed diff into xf

Does the xf tube on the car actually screw into the ed hose nice. Not loose but the threads feel right? And do the seats go in the opposite direction?
  19. XES

    Ed diff into xf

So the end with the inverted seat screws onto the body of the car and the male end screws into tbe hose? I think what he's given you is a 10x1 female to 3/8x24male afaptor if its loose in the threads on the ed hose. I'll have to check bit I'm pretty sure that both xf and ed have 10x1 threads. Maybe just different seats. I've got a brake hose catalog at work I can look in after I finish lunch if you want.

    Flat-Top Holleys: Unfairly judged?

I had 650 double pumper one of these on my stock 302 and found it was a bit big. I thought it was a pretty go carby though. Easy to switch jets like you said. I ended up switching to a 600 with vac secondaries and it goes really good now. I'm currently building a 351 and ill probably try this carby on it. Loved the induction noise when those bit secondaries open up on a speadbore carb. Especially with mechanical secondaries.

You wont hear the exhaust over the awesone induction noise that will be coming from those webbers any way

    Cortina 5 stud mags

Daves got no cars these would fit on..
  23. Looking at getting an e series diff to fit into my XE. Just wondering if the calipers off an XE disc brake diff will fit onto an e series diff. Reason being that a diff I'm looking at has no calipers on it. And I have a set of braided brake hoses to suit an xe diff and I know that the e series have metric threads not imperial. Cheers Pete

    Wheel paint.

Hey guys. I've got a set of bf xr6 rims that I've fixed a heap of gutter rash and scuff marks on. Just wondering what silver/alloy color paint people use when they're respraying or touching them up. I've got them all prepped and ready to paint but the silvers I have are just too silver or bright to match the original paint. Cheers.
