Thanks for the good info, I'm really aiming for a mild range motor very similar to Xelisty's, his is cranking 300rwhp just under 4000rpm, not sure of the boost level though. I'm thinking of starting at about 8 psi and going from there, it should double it's factory power on that boost level. Microtech still do a fuel only ecu, it's listed at about $895, I thought it would be easier to just get the fuel and ignition system to control the lot. Also need to start planning an engine rebuild as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The dump pipe came out of an XE that was running this manifold and had a modded XR6 turbo with the five bolt flange, so I will just source the similar set up to keep it simple. The manifold has a T4 flange with a T3 adapter on it, and the dump pipe is 3 inch. With the Microtech I can retain the dizzy and it will control it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If I was ever to modify the XF Ghia, I think I'd use a 4 barrel manifold and the Holley, keep it simple. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just put a thermo switch in the XD before it was shipped, that was a tridon brand and was 3/8 NPT GAS, so fitted in the eldebrock manifold. I'll have a look around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a 302w in my XD, I have a standard 6 cyl radiator out of a XF Ghia, which was 100mm wider than my XD original. For the time I have had it running there was no issue. I have a standard rotation water pump with the bottom outlet on the passenger side, for this I used a standard Cleveland bottom radiator hose from super cheap. For the top hose, I also used a standard top Cleveland hose as I was using an angled thermostat housing and the hose just sort of bends a tad, but no issues. Sorry for the crap photo. I should change the title to 1983 XE 250 EFI. I have been reading a few older bits n pieces from the net about replacing the BW auto for a C4, and as a result a few further questions have popped up. With a C4 what flexplate is required? Will the standard shifter linkages from the BW auto work with the C4? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
