    Autotecnica sports steering wheels

Id spend more on a wheel, its what you use and look at the most.

Removing 351c & top loader from XW

Like said above, front of one head, back of the other. I put a couple of small bolts through the chain either side of the engine crane hook to stop the chain sliding through when it's on a big angle, and put an old slip yoke in the back if the box to plug it if you have one lying around.

    Sourcing origina Clevo block

Would you need to contact every rego authority? Perhaps a previous owner took the engine out and while registered in NSW. Id love to track down the original engine for my coupe. If you could find a matching date US un stamped Clevo block, it's as good as original IMO

    Motor oil

Can't go wrong with Penrite HPR30 and just a Ryco Z9 filter for a pretty standard 302. Id change every 4 months or if it's a daily then every 5k kms

    302 Cleveland 2v cast heads

As said above, CHI 2V's work with either 2V or 4V headers, and any 2V intake manifold like the air gap mentioned. If you go the CHI 3V's which would be my choice, they now make a 3V dual plane manifold which would likely fit under bonnet. Or their single plane could be milled down a bit for clearance too. They also include CNC'ing of the combustion chambers to give you whatever compression ratio you want. Dave

    XE Bonnet struts

Thanks for the replies guys. Bonnet bracket is all sorted, its just the nut that the lower mount bolts to. My XE just has a hole, with the other side not accessible. I was thinking either a nut inside or a plate from a fairlane, but will have to drill spot welds for that. Dave

    XE Bonnet struts

Hey guys Anyone here put a second bonnet gas strut on an XD XE? If so how did you go about it? Only way I can see to do it is drill the spot welds on the plate under the guard, and weld on a nut. Reason being I think the bonnet is a bit heavy for the single strut and seems to twist a bit when its open. Dave
