  1. After finding a crack in my head on my XG I was able to find a replacement at the wreckers in good nick. Installed new head gasket/ bolts etc but when I went to fit timing chain sprocket it doesn't locate into the locating hole. It seems about 180degrees out. What do I do??

That would be great thanks Xm-221, it's pretty hard to tell whats happening while I still have the engine in place

Will a XE K frame fit into an XG??

Ok thanks for the replies guys, looks like the old girl will be able to be repaired then, although it does sound like a big and no doubt daunting job. Is there anything else I should possibly think of doing while the engine is out? Thanks again

Will a XE K frame fit into an XG??

Thanks for the reply Ants, my XG van has cracked through the shock towers and down the brace to the frame area, body works guy suggested I find a donor car to cut the bits out of and have them all welded into my bus, big job I know but don't wont to sell my van as it is in fairly good cond apart from this problem. Or is there any other repair options for this, surely I'm not the only person to have this problem?
  5. Can someone please help me? Need to get a new k frame welded into my XG van but all I can find is an XE so I just need someone to tell me if they are the same or if not what is. Would love a reply, dying to get the van back on the road! Cheers
