    250 manual bellhousings

I'll go out to the shed tomorrow night and take some pics next to tape measure of the forks i've got. If only for the sake of stockpiling some knowledge. Would do it tonight but too damned cold out there, snow expected in town overnight... good thing im not in town lol

3 speed hydro fork is the same as cable 4 speed as far as dimensions go, one has hole for cable and one does not.

    250 manual bellhousings

Slave and masters should be, can't tell you about the clutch line as none of my suppliers have a listing. Will bend one up and use a brake hose or something to attach to the slave when i get round to it.

    250 manual bellhousings

I modded a 3 speed hydro bellhousing for my singlerail, ground out the center hole a few mm and had to drill and tap one hole (top drivers i think). Looking at the clutch pedal i recon you could get away with using a brake pedal and kink/straighten as necessary. Thats what my one looks like anyway. Then grab a piece of stainless rod the right length. Pm me your email if you want pics of the pedal
  7. If this rain eases up we should hit minus 6 soon. Did a few times last winter.

Pick me a cammy for my crossy

So its been a while but still going slowly. At this stage i'm going to order the kellford 230/236 cam next month. Meant to be getting some toy money soon, which will pay for cam etc plus hopefully 48mm jenvey heritage itbs when they released in late July. May be overkill but if i dont have to pay the money back then who cares lol so long as house repairs dont interfere with my plans haha Edit : although the 165e cam looks good, it's a hold... sorry cant say it lol still a chance ill ordet it instead though. Need more whiskey to decide
  9. Bring it over here, minus 5 in the mornings should help haha

    Tips using regular household products

For those dead bugs stuck to your bumper after a weekend away, stretch a soaking wet beach towel over the area and leave for an hour. Then wash off as normal.

    Crossflow do's and dont's.

Tube socket and a hammer is faster. No good for putting them back together though haha

Yeah Kelfords is who recommended the 230/236 cam. Auckland cams website won't work on my phone or laptop so i'll try it at work, nice find.

Pick me a cammy for my crossy

Cheers gerg, i was looking at it and it seemed pretty agro for a hydraulic cam from what little i know, and then i started thinking why not go solid haha which is partly why i hadn't ordered it yet (aside from not having the cash lol). Will definately be a weekend only car, but dont see the point in having gear that wears out sooner than necessary. The company im getting my rockers through also do crow cams so may just go back to the 650. Camtech recomended either the 528 or another one which escapes my memory for the moment, i would be dead set on the 528 but by the time the set gets landed and customs has its way with gst etc its just not viable. On the plus side i scored a tfi dizzy for 10 bucks so can add that to the parts pile

Xc,Xe or TFI for msd 6al2

Hi all, Done some searching and got some good info on sorting out the fitment and the benefits of the msd which sounds bloody awesome. Ive been running a 2 wire XE dizzy in my xc for years, can these be used with the msd unit? Should i fit an electronic pickup to the old points dizzy? Or will the XF Tfi dizzy drop right in and be the bees knees? Cheers guys

Xc,Xe or TFI for msd 6al2

So basically drop in either the tfi or est, wire up msd and call it done. Sounds like a plan to me Another item added to the list. Any benefit to tfi over est as far as fitting/wiring is concerned? Thanks for all the help:)

Pick me a cammy for my crossy

Merry xmas you guys, Update. The guys i use through work (so pricing beats camtech, plus no import duty tax) have given me a couple of options. Will decide after the xmas season exactly what im doing but heres the options 224° @ .050” and .515” valve lift, 230°/236° @ .050” and .552” valve lift. Take care out there

    Terrible squealing brakes

Put coppercote on the edges of the pad backing steel. Where it touches the caliper and mounts. Sorry if im sounding cryptic. Also have you bedded the pads in? If you drive with the window down can you isolate what end of the car is making noise. Oh and any chance you have been through gravel or roadworks and got a stone stuck in them?

Pick me a cammy for my crossy

Yeah it was good for when i built the engine, dedicated lpg and was the daily/family car. Now post divorce i have a couple of cars so this hasnt seen daily duties a long time. Strictly fun so will see what suggestions come from my guy and from camtech when they get back to me.
