wagoon 2,429 Posted May 3, 2015 Didn't want to highjack the other thread going at the moment. I am replacing all the tie rod ends and idler arm at the moment on my sedan and thought it best to replace the pitman arm while I'm there and the engine is out. I have bought wasp tie rod ends and superpro idler arm but not sure if there is a real difference in the quality of the brands of pitman arms. Obviosly don't buy knock off chinese crap but is it much better to buy NOS or is road safe and power max ok to use. Being that my car will be used in motor sport events I am happy to spend extra to ensure steering doesn't break.
Jiminy Kriket 133 Posted May 3, 2015 I replaced my pitman arm about a month ago, and can honestly say i saw nothing wrong with the roadsafe pitman arm i put in. Nice and firm, appears to be a really neat forging and the spline in the arm put the steering only a spline out on the steering wheel. So i have no problem with it, took the 1/4" of play out of the arm that was on it. 1 wagoon reacted to this
