do EB/ED seats fit straight in with rails on xe

I can get a pretty neat set of front seats for my project, I'm just wondering if they bolt straight in or is mods required?

If you look in this thread http://www.ozfalcon.com.au/index.php?/topic/4388-good-x-series-seats/ post 11 and 14 have pics of eb/ed seats into an x series and it looks like 2 rails have been joined/ adapted. I would say that these seats would be closer to later e series seats and maybe even au in bolt hole location. I am trying to put au seats into my wagon at the moment and the seat mount holes are approx 20-25mm wider than the x series holes in the floor.
