    Sweet cruise time bring it around ill fix the side and lets go to the ford day in geebong Mines at 13atm the valve springs cant keep up at anymore (other engine had springs) I need to change them. my zorst is 3inch stainless my mate did mine I was painting his van and he knew I needed the dump plumbed and ended up making most of the system for It and the turbo drain does the best work to fussyer then I am it was 300 in bits had most of it but what did you do for the turbo manifold? just put up pics we want to see its a 425 hey?

I backed to backed a 4 barrel aussie one over the stock one i ran, it did 6hp over the stock manifold should of wasted 400 bucks on a ice box,,,,, if they had one LOL

    Standard valve springs for cam break in

    We run that cam in chrises beacon I just run it without the inner spring it was a compcam 130seat 320open item I cant remember more info then that without looking, it worked out well Its funny that was one cam we never gave a shit about stick it in run it in and changed the oil and the next moring off to the strip LOL and 2 years on its still alive you will like that stick it works good in even a basic engine just make sure you have 10 points of comp

    Im doing one of them as well just enough comp for a 230@50 camtech, I was lucky with this engine came in a corty I bought and ended up having a 10.000km old engine in it decked the block to 0 as the slugs where about 40 thow down the bore good engine for gramps he is a dog

    Most crossy that will turn to 6k will have little under 2500 anyway so there would be no real need for something with more lower down useage but we ran a 600 and a 4barrel manifold on my mates ute it was still the same as the webber in its low end but had more in the mid higher end of things not that it would go much past 4600 webers do not make much noise if your just driving, and the more you give it the more cats it sucks in and the better the screaming cat getting sucked thru a straw sounds

    I remember when I want to webers I got told there a waste of time after trying everything carby manifold wise on mine I remember glen telling me there shit as well, you know a person that had not run them Jims was going to go to webers but it something there going to do later now, but a real 400hp real street car that thing still has everything fitted I real credit to harry and his love for 6cyl clevos

    I must say in the 14 years ive been playing with crossys ive never change the cam bearings with the engine together althow it is one thing ive always let the machine shop do for me you will find if the cam bearings are not real good the rest of them will be even worse and id pull the whole thing down messure it all up and linnish crank check and or close and hone them and screw it back together ive been the cam change path many times these days I just rering and bearing them as a 2nd hand engine with a cam will not last the test of time, 1 year in you will be building it anyways. that or shut your eyes fit the cam and hope in a year you can fit it to your new one its is your engine its just free advice re ring it now a stock engine is only $250 in bearings and rings to build and buy your self a bottle hone to hone the block and $80 to linnish the crank and what ever they charge to check the rods

This is a hemi roded engine hey? that makes them engine worse at revs hey we went thru this with my mates Cortina just seem to not be a well balanced engine his was so bad and he had a good balancer as that does solve a lot of the issues they have or has for me anyway when I did mine I used a big ruler to make sure the pulleys where in line

    Looks like a scratch to me if you want a piston messure the dish and ill send you a piston and a rod and you can jam it in and go again looks like a 22cc or 29cc ACL slug hope (hehe ripe for boost) id put money but looking at the top end the engine will likely need some work so id leave it and run it Id run that in a stocker but if your worried about it get a bit of 240 wet and dry and a can of WD40 and rub t till the scratch is gone you will then see if its a crack I think its just a scratch I got a 250 a while back that I trashed senseless it had no issues at all but it has a side off a piston, these engines don't need piston tops to run is what im trying to say Hell if you want a new set of pistons I think I have a 6 or 7 sets in the corner that engine needs less dish anyway unless your,,,, cough couch boosting it

    I run a 24/26 spline c4 in my grey v8 corty that thing lifts the front wheels off the deck and ive never hurt it in 500+ passes its a stock box with a hard input shaft (changed it when i went to a 4k convertor to be a 24 26 spline box is just the input shaft if you run a 26 spline convertor you can just change it it just pulls out

    been down the parth have spent the coin to build them they don't last even with a 150hp they still blow up spend your coin on a c4 my turbo ghia had a very helthy bw40 in it when I boosted it on 5psi you know how long it lasted? a week and it only lasted that long cause I did not boost it as soon as I got my C4 I tried to see what happends if you push it,,,,,,, It cant be it just blew up the bw 35s are fitted to cortys and I don't have any cortys with them why? there shit how many have I poped with no real power, heaps am I getting the message across? im unsure but there shit as for C4s you want a Windsor c4 not a clevo one if you want a decent c4 PM me I have a built 6cyl boxe in the shed I may be swayed to sell one for about the $1600 mark no stall convertor

    If your doing it for that coin its not sustainable and in the long run will cost much more I see it like this $150 to fuel a tow car and race car $100 for entry for a weekend meet mates/pitcrew and food $100 and that's no cans and about $150 for upkeep of trailer tow car and race car as you have to pour oil in them look after transmissions tyres and there not cheap and all this before you break anything. I also had a very cheap car when I was doing it full on and I never looked after it. if you factored in the cost of stuffing a 8k car towing a 2.5 ton trailer tools and car around you would find it would be even more then that, or having towtoy his engine on its own is worth more then that now, you have to factor it all in

    borgy 35 40s came behind v8s? ive never ever seen one borgy 40 and 51 is basicley the same box just the selector shaft is on the other side and still rubbish good for a a nice drive in a dead stock engine
