Seriously couldn't give the smallest fuck about drone or any other noise issue with running dumped systems. ILIED ran for two years with just extractors and dumpers (so it wouldn't burn the floor). Loved it. Never got sick of it. The furthest I travelled was about 100km in one go, but that was awesome. My F100 is a 410 with CHIs and a Comp 280H cam. Has tri-Ys and finishes at 2.5", has a balance pipe just after the Transfercase then about 6" after that the "muffler system" starts. First I tried two 18" long hotdogs. Was loud as fuck, sounded angry. But messy on idle-3000rpm, after that it was awesome. Then I tried two straight through mufflers. It was basically a typical muffler to look at, but it had a perforated tube that entered on one side on one end and exited in the center at the other end. Sounded much neater. Didn't really muffle the noise too much, but it took the edge off the high-end noise. Still was WAY above the legal limit. Currently, I'm running two baffled mufflers. They are just cheap ones I got from the local joint. I don't know what's inside but ya cant see through them. It's still loud as fuck, so I tested it. It's 92db on idle and 111db with the limiter set at 5000. Nothing after them. They just exit under my tub. There's no drone or noise that shits me with it. Just gotta be gentle on the button around town

I'm not as impressed with the Atomic as I am with the FAST or Holley. I cant find anywhere about the Holley set, if it controls the timing aswell. If I'm running three different profiles, I want the one unit doing the whole thing
-
Anybody got experience with the Holley Dominator EFI or FAST XFI2.0? I'm not sure which is the way to go. Holley looks the biz, but its all modular and getting a grasp of exactly what is needed aint so easy. Also, I'm not sure whether it needs a separate dizzy module or not. Fast looks like a good kit. Comes with a Dizzy and the unit controls the fuel AND spark tables. But I dunno if it can have more than one tune. I want a tune for 98 and a tune for E85, then another for 91 which is just to get it to a place I can put real petrol in. When I have to reprogram my FG for when I cant access good fuel it takes ages. From wheat I understand of the Holley setup is that you just turn a knob and you're on the next map.

Can I ask that you measure the port volumes on these aswell?

but 2th and 3th are the sweet spots

While you're at it, something reminds me that BA utes didn't have ABS. Could be the same reason
-
Best mate had a BF11 XR6T ute. Used to melt the ABS sensor on the diff, as a result the speedo would fuckup and go erratic. I think they went to the T6060 for them, too, didn't they? For some reason I was under the impression the BA11 was the only Falcons to use the T56

Don't forget the shifter. If you don't buy a box with a shifter stalk, you'll need to get or make one. The T/L shifter is nothing like it
-
Did the rear crossmember need any mods, XF347?
-
I had a TKO500 bolt-in replacement for TopLoader. When I bought it, I checked and yes, it fitted directly to my existing bellhousing. .The shifter was in the same position and the box was the same length. I ended up selling it on before using it as I wanted something rated more than 500lb/ft

TKO500

Hey guys, Goin to paint my engineblock, and heads, and all accessories. What two-pack paint have people used successfully? I plan on HPCing the inlet and exhaust, so thats no issue. Got pics? I'll be going matte black (ofcourse!) but am interested in seeing what colours you have and how they have held up. I particular, I'd like to see what the paint condition is on the heads in the areas close to the pipes, they'll be most affected my heat.
-
I didnt expect single part product to be so chem resistant, thats the only reason, Clint, obviously you were on to that. It's good that that killrust is. I geuss even if it darkens and dulls off around the pipes isnt so bad with matte black ay?

May aswell check: http://www.wilwood.com/Calipers/CaliperList.aspx?subname=Dynapro Dust-Boot
-
I think you're right about the Wilwoods, JETFTR. I was reading somewhere that they are aware that places like Aus require the dust boot.
-
Nothing to do with Ford. Everything to do with not having a dustboot on the pistons.
