lean?

hay all, what's it mean when my plugs are clean on the tip and porcelain no colour at all? black carbon build up elsewhere.

I rebuilt my 250 in my pre internet days and wasn't aware of the issue with fitting a high volume pump to a xflow so I fitted one. cold 50psi. worm 25psi. at about 800/900 rpm. think its got 15/40 in it atm. last build was about 3 or 4 years ago now. don't do many ks in it. when I pull it down to increase HP will probably go back to standard.

something I'd like to know as well. Was gunna do it myself when I get around to it, and probably still will, good to have a comparison when I do. I'm mainly interested in length and diameter.

also why would it not be a good idea?

while we're on the subject what would be the bonuses of swapping from a 3 speed to a 2 speed. when would it be a good idea and is top gear ratio 1 to 1 ??
