Cheers mate, I had it happen again a little higher in the rpm. So I've turned it up to 8800. Lol

Hi All, Anyone had issues with the street fire ignition box's, in particular the rev limiter? I had it set at 6500, haven't hit it, or not sure if it was even working but today it came on a few times some where around 4500 to 5000, at least thats what i assumed the problem was. I turned it up to 6800 and the issues seemed to go away. Just wondering if this is a common issue with the ignition box or not?

I'm a bit rough, I lack patience. Cheers loving it. Few more upgrades to do soon to the engine and brakes.

Started some work on my te s pack. Plan is to do some upgrades to the engine, change to a 5 speed from the auto, not a huge fan of manuals but I want to keep it original in appearance. Fit the 28 spline diff I built, change the steer rack to a manual one. Paint the car and basically try and make it as close to looking standard as possible, oh and retrim the seats. Some pictures of how it looks now. And how I want it to look, will be fitting nougths and crosses wheels to clear the brakes . Console I put together for it. . The s pack material I picked up. I have most of the parts I need to put it together, thinking I'll stretch the rear tubs as well. I'll throw up more pictures as I go.

Hi all, been quite awhile since I been in here. Ended up facing facts that I'd never get around to repainting my corty, so i put it back together so to enjoy it again. Should be a picture attached below. Pretty happy with how its running, I just whooped a vz v8 Calais not sure if it was a 5.7 or 6.0 but mehh, seen him roll down his window behind me when we were cruising, I'm guessing so he could confirm he just got done by a 6 haha. https://photos.app.goo.gl/sNdo53wUD55kVS1E7

One more idea then im done IF the swaybar is at its longest point past it as it sits now, you could fit blocks between the chassis mounts pulling the arms forward. If its not at its longest point obviously just going to make it worse. Or pull the swaybar forwards. Adjustable swaybar mounts would be good

Ah I see

Just an idea, would it be possible to fit a wedge shaped spacer between the strut and body? And I say just an idea never herd of it done before. If you can fab it yourself it would be cheep to do, just time consuming.

I wouldn't be happy either. IMO its a shit thing to do.

Didn't waste anytime to make a quick buck Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/322371458725

it was so bad it was obvious. It was in a te, coil sprung rear end so it was able to twist a lot. On one side the tire was touching the wheel arch behind the rear seat. The other side was towards the boot and almost touching the wheel arch

I had a corty that had a similar diff issue but much worse. The axle tubes twisted in the cast housing causing the misalignment. From memory the MK1's have the same stile of diff with the steel tubing into the cast housing.

About the only other option is an electric motor on the column. Out of curiosity have you felt the push pull type of PS with the engine running? From memory the have free play till the pump is running.
