Borgy 5 speed (not T5)
thunderbolt replied to XFute-1JZsoarer's topic in Transmission and Differential
4.1 crossflow is a pretty torquey motor similar to a 5 liter V8 . It will last if ya don't give it a hard time 1st and 5th are the gears that are most likely to go so keep that in mind try it and let us know how its going in say a years time -

i had one in a vk it was the worst shifting gearbox i have ever used and i drove a ute with an aussie 4 speed with a worn shifter that could go into 2 gears at the same time but it was still better to drive than the borgy 5 speed -

thunderbolt replied to mcfly94's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
an xf has a smooth compliant ride as standard but even with HD springs and nolithane bushes they still aren't like a lowed VB-VKcommodore for hashness -

thunderbolt replied to thunderbolt's topic in Auto Electrics
if i disconnect the battery and connect it again it starts (but one of the times i done that i gave it a squirt of ether in the intake ) -
no point making 2 threads first the XG it has no spark something to do with moisture because it only happens in damp cool whether I would probably find the problem easy if the manifold wasn't so awful so any help would be good. The XF has parasitic drain that makes the hand brake light glow dimly when engine is off what should i check thanx

fit the tank, converter and mixer yourself and take it some ware to get the lines hooked up and singed off
