Au injectors have a better spray pattern than the earlier 4.0 ones. If your planning to go turbo later on why not just get some good condition au ones for now, then later spend money getting exactly what you need?
-
Yep. Ive bought many e series and ran them into the ground Kangaroos, then i just buy another lol. they tow and drive 100x better than an xf

Everything can be fixed . just depends on how much you want to spend, by the sounds of things, it would be cheaper to get a new one made from steampipe, than to have an engineering shop fix it

Later Model Power Steering pump, compatible with an older Power Steering box?
RAWDEAL replied to RAWDEAL's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
I just changed out the Syntrans in my 6 speed manual, for a penrite 70/75. it has made the shift feel WORSE . i am prolly gonna do a little experiment and change up to a thicker oil (because the box is worn) . then see what happens if it makes it even worse ill put syntrans back in it I figured i would use the GM oil because its what is used in the astra, and it shouldnt stuff up the pump -

I have an xb with 350mm rotors on the front and e series disks on the back, my master cylinder has shat it i think... so i am looking to replace , but upgrade at the same time i have heard that maybe XC ones fit ? does a dual diaphram booster make any difference ? Its been 41 years so i figured both of them need to be replaced lol -
Bro just go and buy an Eb wagon or ute diff . they are heaps better, and not to hard to fit up

I figured the max pressure shouldn't matter of the pump, because it just hits the relief valve anyways ? Which only happens when the car is at full lock? The engine was sitting around for about a year before i put it in the car ... maybe because it was empty for so long, the thing just gave up lol i will change the pump this weekend , and see what happens -

I have an AU radiator in my xb and AU thermos . worked well , got to 110 in the clevo which is grout filled , only a few times while in ~35 degrees in traffic for 20 mins ect that was with the standard ~35 amp alternator or whatever they are. when the fans were on they wernt very loud , i recon that alternator couldnt spin them fast enough now i have a 110a alt so ill see how i go with that i wouldnt mind getting one of these china rads as the inlet and outlet is on the other side.. the au rad has the outlets on the wrong side and its annoying lol for 120$ for the rad brand new and about 100 for the fans also new. well worth it IMO i was looking for a factory looking setup as well ill try to dig up a picture

I have a kit of bfxr8 brakes onto my xb. But i diddnt purchase the kit new. All it is, is a machined bracket though.. easy to get made

My 351 that i got rebuilt has had a premature death. after about 1000ks ffs.... So i am going to put the 302w i have in my xb. it has a torker 2 manifold and an impco425, extractors(shorty ltd ones) , still retains the stock accessorys on the front, will be pulling the clutch fan off in favor of thermos Just wondering is there any little issues i should consider ? ie Sump Clearance? Does the powersteering pump on the 1994/302ws work with a steering box? I am 99.999% sure the bellhousing pattern is the same.. ?

I diddnt see that pic lol.. i am thinking of deleting the ac from mine... But made up my mind about the silly power steering pump, iam gonna get a different pump and try to get rid of the stupid aluminum all in one bracketry they have, it looks cluttered and shit! I aquired a set of pacemaker windsor extractors for the car today off of a mate, i dont know if they fit my car, the hopefully do, and i can drive it again They have stamped on them "898' i might ring them tmoz and see if thats an old model number Also bought some bends for the top rad hose, i am not happy with the way it is from factory, also bought some 38mm stainless tube -
