  1. can i get a 50oz flywheel that is the same diameter/tooth count as the clevo one i have that way i can use the clevo starter? would that work ? considering i am using the bellhousing that i have used for the clevo
  2. Got a Supercheap auto gift card for xmas, 6.5$ for a set of TWO 1 1/2 inch brass welch plugs... so around 20$ for the 6.. silly me bought 8 though thinking i needed 8 lol Now i am researching flywheels/clutch kits for the windsor i thought id be able to get away with the clevo stuff but they are different ffs lol not sure if i want to spend another 500-1000$ on a clutch kit ect because the clevo might cost less than that to fix i have been told that the oil pump that was installed in my 351c when built was a high volume pump with a high as fuck pressure spring in it 100psi plus.. he hasnt stripped the motor yet but he has pressure tested the water system and it may have also blown a head gasket lol. Im gonna wait to see what new parts it needs after he strips it. if its less than 1000$ish to get rebearinged and put back together ill go that route.. if its more.. ill buy the clutch kit for the windsor lol

    351C and 5 speed

i bought the 6060 before there even was a magnum and i would have bought one of the first of them because no gearbox shops or anything knew anything about em or had seen em lol i actually got told from a guy from mal wood to buy a ute/v8/ford box/t56 . even he diddnt know that they had started putting the tr6060s in em lol the magnum would cost an extra 1000$ anyways, and where the shifter sits now is 10x better!! (if you were a really short bloke it would prolly be to far back though)
  4. Ill order a brass kit online today or tommorrow . due to nothing being open/im at work durking buisness hours Anyone know a good site or set to buy online?

Yeah ive done a tr6060 in an xb/clevo. its pretty easy quicktime bellhousing clevo flywheel 10sp clutch kit (the tr6060 i have for SOME reason came out of a bfgt ute and it is 10 spline), if its 26spline, just substitute a 26sp kit used a oem xb master cylinder for the clutch braided clutch line made up oem slave cylinder hole cut in the floor for the shifter. it sits further back that the t5 ect but IMO its in a much better spot custom tailshaft made used a standard auto/xb cross member, extended it outwards with some 10mm plate Who needs a speedo??? Plugged the solenoid on the side of the shifter, with a piece of brass i turned up and a little 'fork' cost me around 7 grand all up..

    351C and 5 speed

There a bit expensive for how old they are , but there pretty strong boxes. the money u save over buying one instead of a TKO, you would spend on buying a custom dellowect bellhousing IMO
  7. Are you meaning (forgive me because i have no idea), That the Brass ones will last but the steel one will rust out/rust out sooner ? Wouldnt it be just easier to have all brass ones lol ? :S

Soo easy to go tr6060, i can show u how i got mine to work if u want
  9. Should i make up a plate to block the ports or somehow run a pipe between them so that it can circulate?
  10. Yeah might get the lines made up in the USA and sent over, not sure, i know a year or so i priced it up and it was cheap, the dollars gone to shit now though lol Motor already has a torker 2 on it , impco 425, so should be sweet there if i decide to leave the aircon on the motor/, but not yet plumb it, will it ruin the ac pump? one of the welsh plugs on the side of the block is a bit Iffy lol. Are any brand welsh plugs alright or should i get brass ones/screw in ones/??
  11. as for the 50oz flywheel. is that the same as a clevo? how do i know which direction to point the balance weight ? thx for the info man! Are you running the ac/alternator ect off of the newer motor? or did you get an older pulley setup and put on it ?
  12. Guy who built it , used non hardend push rods, they rubbed out on the guides and all the swarf killed the oil pump Im gonna mock it up and see how it goes, i will be making braided lines up for the a/c and the power steering, lpg, everything lol. im gonna sus out my clevo sump i have laying around, and compare it to the 302w
  13. I do know that they are similar, and that the Ba+ uses a t5z, which is supposed to be stronger. i am 99% sure that the au's run them as well

    Clutch fan hub ideas

The way, that i know, to test the clutch is when the car is hot, try to spin the fan, if the fan free spins or has no resistance, its prolly rooted in the morning try it again, it should free spin when cold

    Who does custom tank installs?

IMO a dual ba straight gas setup from a ute is the go.. im gonna fit one to my xb, holds approx 90 litres of gas and already has the bash plates ect for compliance. and its already twin tanks, if u wanna go big power, you already have the outlets
  16. Yeah its a bit annoying lol If the bolt pattern was the same as say SBF or something more common i could more than likely order a Quicktime bellhousing with the starter in a different spot It being it has its on unique pattern makes things annoying
  17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ford_bellhousing_patterns#Later_Windsor_V8_pattern best link ive found in a while!! Wondering if the later model aussie 6s fit with anything else on this list or are they there own pattern? id love to update the wiki! AFAIK late EL/AU/DOHC are the same, but different to SOHC? SOHC is ??? XFLOW is SBF?

    Xf sedan tailshaft to ute.

there gets to a point where you have 20 cars laying around and you think, maybe i SHOULD chuck something out hahah
  19. Yeah should fit ok with a bit of ball peen persuasion haha
  20. im stuck at work during the week and those guys seem to be in tullamarine found some on ebay, ordering them payday this week http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/141016915766?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  21. The clutch in my prexflow 4 speed single rail cortina is slipping.. i want to get another flywheel for and get it machined, and also buy another clutch kit Are they the same as the later ones? I have heard i might need to drill the bolt holes out more is this true? It seems a lot easier to buy a ea flywheel / clutch kit than hunting around for a cortina one.. a lot of parts stores dont even know what a pre crossflow is lol
  22. Thx for that info. that was the only other thing i was concerned about lol This flywheel has been freshly machined, so i assume its balanced, ill get it sussed out though how do i go about drilling the holes out? should it be done on a mill with an indexing head or just a good drill press? Anyone know where i can order online a set of ARP flywheel bolts?
  23. ORRITE . So the bolt holes on a pre crossflow crank are 7/16th the inner lip is 1 3/4 , which matches the ea flywheel According to a friend who works at a clutch and brake place, the ea 3 bolt clutch kit is the same as a 4 speed cortina kit The bolt holes on the ea flywheel are a tad smaller, so ill get them drilled out and it all should be sweet! the ONLY THING that i have a concern about, is the balance ! but i am pretty certain they are the same. ill see when i pull the flywheel outta the cortina
