Forged motor is a fair ways off. I want to smash this stupid debt i have off this year 13k left.. Then comes the motor If the standard cam sucks to much ill prolly order the cam and springs , 400$ aus delivered from summit which is pretty good i recon

Seems like this might be the go lol.. Was sorta hoping for a bit of a cammy idle and a few more rpms to play with Have a torker 2 manifold on it atm Will be boosting it later , which is why i figured to change the timing chain, when it gets boost i recon my shift points might go up a bit lol In the mean time it Saves me camming it and being disapointed More money towards alloy heads i guess Are any of the earlier heads any good 289/302 heads?

I am not sure on the differences with the xd to xb to zk But the efi 302w i have in my Xb fits without moving the engine Not sure if xd is the same ?

Sorted the flywheel, gotta pick that up mounted the engine , fits like a glove! The only trouble i had was near the o2 sensor on the passenger side, it hit one of the suspension bolts , but i unbolted it at the flange so thats all good now Just gonna get it running with the impco425, plumb the power steering with braided flex lines, ect. Also have to obviously clean it all up and cut down most of the loom.. Not sure if these dizzys need an MSD box of the OEM computer to run properly ? The efi 5.0s come out with roller cams if im not mistaken? If so whats a good cam to put in it ? i am also not sure on what timing gears/chain they have from factory if they are anything like the OEM clevo stuff i want to replace it lol Ive decided to ditch the clevo for this car all together timeline should go like this > efi 302w get that running with a new cam > start collecting parts for forged windsor boost motor > fabricate the turbo piping for the gt4088 > install turbo, tune if for low boost > Most likely need a new clutch after a few months > sort out any lpg supply issues IE 2 converters 2 lockoffs ect, that will be needed for higher boost > install a crank trigger kit on it to get it sequential spark, prolly COP > Diff will prolly be blown up by this stage so get a 9" built > get alloy headed windsor built with forged internals > swap motors , more boost > eventually end up with liquid lpg injection -
Swapped over the pulley/clutch shimmed it up, seems legit now. hopefully it all works as it should ill order bearings for the old one next week, then ill just fix the other one which i stole the pulley off of gotta make sure that the gap is correct , i dont know exactly what it should be though?

so i bought a 5.0 nc, the ac clutch had shit itself , so i got the car cheap i was wondering how these work? i assume the magnet pulls the front onto the pulley , it locks , pump turns ? can i buy a clutch assembly for these ? couldn't really be fucked changing the pump over (even know i do have another one handy)

Hi guys i am picking up a new daily , an nc, i want to drive it home but the ac pump/pulley seized and snapped the belt off of it lol so i wanna buy a belt that bypasses the ac anyone got a part number? AFAIK the length of the belt is 2460mm (minus a bit so that it can tension) -

i used some string and a serpentine belt measurer device pole thingo? and came up with this the lhs idler could be deleted while im at it .. same with that top idler -

Hi guys just putting a 4.0 ohc into my xb .. ive got a clevo getting built and getting bored at home and well.. i have like 10 of these engines laying around haha.. i already have a straight gas car so should be an easy conversion wondering wether i can buy a 6cylinder upper engine mount that is 90mm wide? (to suit the lower mount that mounts on the crossmember) as seen in the pic the upper mount is to narrow for the lower mount , lower mount is what i was using to run a clevo, i am not sure if there is a narrower lower mount i cant find the old mounts off of my pre xflow, i am not sure if they run a different mount.. i thought id ask here before i go spend 50-100$ on mounts! anyone know of a decent place to sell me some mounts in the dandenong area?

with the correct diff gears , and if he is getting 350 out of 40l. wouldn't be surprised if u got 600+ out of a 70 liter! your car is lighter!

Hi guys i bought a t5 mustang extension housing off of ebay from the states, got it for 125$ landed here which i recon is alright Looking to convert my cortina to a 5 speed ! revving @ 3000 @ 80kmph on a daily is a bit high haha Is there any other parts i need to buy to do this job ? i assume its just a bearing and a seal in there pretty much? i am hoping to do it myself I also need a t5 to convert if anyone wants to sell me one? the small /drill/tap a hole mod works with the cortina single rail bellhousings i assume? heres the ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/321295357164 -

for all the cortina people the single rail 6cyl box uses a gear that looks like this http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=toploader+speedo+gear&_sop=15 It is the opposite hand to the t5s and stuff AFAIK the toploader shares the same gear

There does not look like much room for thermo fan/fans are you going to mount them at the front and push the air maybe? surely these engines are the same length as an xflow ? or maybe because of the vvti they are a bit longer?
