  1. i have added to globes to my lights in the blank holes so i doubt it will ever work.

     

    My first fuel guage light can be good for up to 120km of high way driving. The second one goes quicker though and the rest are random. Gas is exactly the same 100 odd in the first light and only 250km from all the rest.


  2. i would love a bigger tank. When i do the DOHC conversion il go straight gas and have a second tank where the petrol tank goes.

     

    The AU still remains the same. I assume either the converter is freezing or its wax build up.

     

    Could there be wax build up in under 20,000kms though?


  3. Thanks for the replies fellas. My coolant is good flushed it and filled it last week(after this problem started) i am unsure what the system is il go have a look. I had it tuned properly recently and for a month it was fine.

     

    I think it might be wax build up.

     

    Nova i didnt realise (or forgot) your panno was on Gas. Imagine how good it would be at Vic prices. Or at the price Australia sells it to china at!!!


  4. thanks chris. But in vic Gas is 55c a litre (was today anyway) and petrol is $1.54. Makes for a cheap daily.

     

    If i was in tassie i wouldnt have gas. Its crazy spensive down there. Infact the only gas car i saw was that weird FD with massive rear tyres.


  5. Meh way over my head Chris. If it wasnt so cool i would just go get an XF clock. The DTE thing its crap anyway. I fill up and it says 680km and then at half a tank it says 12km. Ive got a good one now but jeez there annoying at times. The other features are fairly useless.

     

    I think its funny they dont go past 1999. Ford was Y2K concious i see lol


  6. My AU falcon keeps losing power on LPG. I run Dual fuel and there is no issue on Petrol. It happens intermittently but it feel's like its been starved. It has a full tank. I cant find any vaccumm leaks. At first i could rev it up and it would be fine but its getting worse.

    Also recently serviced including Plugs, leads ,new coil pack, oil, filters and a gas tune up. Its a bog stock 6 with a shit gas system ezygas put in (ezygas=evil)

     

    any ideas? I havent looked at the converter yet.


  7. Yeah surely someone could recondition them? There is a guy at work who fixes all the monitors, B P machines, pumps and other equipment in the hospital. I think il ask if it would be hard to source the stuff.

     

    Mine after 12 reliable months lost 2 hours the other day. Very sad day.


  8. I am in a similar position. I want to put a 4 litre in my ZL maybe next year.

    I personally was leaning toward an AU motor. I have an AU so i have experience with it and like the motor FWIW. I would then use the AU box to. I have no technical experience with this sort of conversion so i cant say how hard it will be.

    But AU's are plentifull, cheap and reliable.

     

    Also adds the option of the VCT motor not sure how much harder that would be though.

  9. if i was doing one of my Fairlanes i would probably consider the guard roller. But doing it on my Datto i didnt care as much. But really a $15 heat gun and a $5 rubber mallet did the job very well.

     

    Cause i was going anywhere without them rolled that was for sure!


  10. My ZL is currently getting about 18l per 100 km on gas. The tune is shocking and the gas system is cheap. But it is also chewing through petrol at about 15 l per 100. Gas is only 55c near me but i hate how gutless it is.
