hmmm. Sounds like a good option. I have an OMVL converter. Unsure if its any good but my car certainly has no guts on gas. Maybe i should try and find a complete Egas AU motor than?

i think the Aussie speed is for the square bore. I think the Aussie speed manifold is the easiest way to set this up. If someone knows an easier or cheaper way please tell me. Might save me $400!! Plus i can set this up.

Is there any differnce in holley base plates? I am using am Impco 425 but need to get a base plate. Someone said the 425 is over kill but i would like to go bigger cam etc so if i need it later il have it.

Yeah i have heard of down spacing the sway bar somewhere to. Interesting what Slydog said. I upgraded the sway bar on my 200B to a skyline item. Was alot thicker. The difference was noticeable.

Well i have got the 425 with a Holley Base plate at a very good price. Although Pending purchase. So thats how il be going. I reckon the Aussie speed manifold will be plenty good to. No idea what power it will put out. I figure i will loose some to Gas even going straight gas. Hopefully more than a stock 250!!

Ok heres one i just though of. Will there be any clearance issues with the Gas carby and the bonnet. Im am in the process of buying an Impco 425. Not sure what hat goes on top of that. But i hope it isnt getting to tall. I have a Impco gas hat on a Thermaquad here its massive.

Probably will later on Mr Polson. When this starts i will need it done quick so it will just doing what needs to be done first. Probably do the 4 speed when i have the ZH sorted (so never) i could also just go manual later on but i like the cruisieness of a fairlane with an auto.

Lol there was a very negative article on EA's and VN's in this months unique cars. They actually gave the points to the EA S pack though. As would i without having dealt with either very much.

Yeah im pretty set on an AU engine. If i can sort out the sump issue it will be sweet. AU donk aussie speed manifold impco 425 xe dizzy EA bell housing on the current trans XG sway bar ef thermos e series upper engine mounts and an ignition system. There is other bits but thats a short list for where i am at.

Wes what did you do about the sump? I would like to run the AU 4L and its the only thing that is stopping me. I know i can get it modified but some people seem to think that getting an aloy sump welded is tough.

Sorry Thom is your question about my car going into limp home mode? I have no idea why it did it. Just when it got wet for a few days it would do it. I just keep it in a carport now. Been good for three years since.

My AU used to go into limp home mode if it poured with rain. Pain in the arse to disconnect the battery in the pouring rain to fix it to. Fixed now. Ive swung back to AU motor now. Just gotta get the sump sorted.

AU have fail safe cooling so they shouldnt get to hot. Unfortunatly that wont be on the ZL lol. Apparently you can drive them with no coolant.
