Edumacate me on 650 holley Carbs

dont buy one of ebay, buy one from VPW or the like, you may have to wait for it but they have good customer service, ive spent over 30K there all up. if you have any issues they will help you, and the boys know there shit. personally id just buy straight from Pro Systems now, theyre so affordable its not funny.

so long as you've got the time to wait to warm it up and good manifold vaccum you'll be fine without it that thing doesnt have a choke and you can drive it within 5minutes of first firing it up, and move it out into the driveway within a minute.... and that thing is SAVAGE (cam is around 270 @50thou) it runs twin 600s and its 532 cubes.

depends how serious your motor is.... look a choke is always handy, especially when your in a cold area. ive seen motors with 550hp that still have a choke, in saying that i dont use one, two pumps then crank it and hold my foot lightly on the throttle and play with it till it clears out, then hold the revs up before i drive off... of course at 5am my neighbours did not like the idea of me doing that.... especially with an exhaust that was 127db and set off every car alarm as i went past.... i prefer the way a double pumper feels on the throttle, i like a mechanical connection between my foot and the engines performance. as for spreadbore vs squarebore... just depends on the applications and how punchy you like the secondaries.... i like the feeling of a squarebore, i like to get booted up the ass when the secondaries come into play...

    replacing front brakes...

mate i hate to be a grinch, but your lack of understanding is very dangerous, i suggest you take your car to a mechanic, if you have a friend who is a mechanic (not a mate who thinks he knows what hes doing) get them to do it, and show you how to do it properly, and explain to you what to look for. DO NOT attempt to do this on your own, if you over/undertighten a bolt, it could have serious consiquences such as snapping caliper bolts apon heavy brake application, that leaves you with zero brakes, in a situation when you need them, that can be fatal for you or someone else. other things are involved in changing pads, like checking wear patterns, seal condition, slide movement, brake fluid colour and condition, rotor wear, etc.

    diy gas conversion?

call up n ask best way about it dude. but yeah, not much you can do yourself. become mates with someone who does gas installs.

    inlet manifolds

TFCs are a top manifold, but as i said, the Air Gap is probably the best for <500hp 2v's theres plenty of guys using them for a reason. this is a dyno (power at the wheels) with a 383, crower 284r, CHI 2v's, off the shelf Paceys, Air gap manifold, and a Pro systems carb

    Liquid Gas Injection

    Liquid Gas Injection

was about to say, ford spent a shitload designing the LPI system for FGs. they even redesigned a motor around it, and its massively detuned.

    Cleveland oil supply mod

this works ok, i still like changing the pressure releif spring in the oil pump though.... 80psi spring makes it safe to roughly 7500rpm, anything above that is a bit of a guess, should be ok to 8, but yeah who knows.

ahhhhhhhhhhh, how about going and nicking one out of an FG?

    Liquid Gas Injection

lol dont they use a normal tank? dude probably cheaper inc shipping than it would be over here anyway, i buy shit from germany all the time for the BM, it costs me less inc shipping than the equivilent parts on an EL XR8 do here. perfect example, lower control arm inc balljoint and bush, 80$ to my door, air flow meter, genuine bosch brand new, $225 delivered, it's insane.

ah so its more a parts supply issue? hrmmm, maybe look overseas?

    Liquid Gas Injection

surely it cant be that hard to make an EFI system work with LPI? all it is at the end of the day is a signal?

    yep thats dion.

    inlet manifolds

can make 500hp with an air gap manifold. best manifold on the market today for mild to warm motors imo

    alloy heads 4v's,3v's,2v's help needed

smaller ports and higher air velocity. Dion runs 10s with a 408 which you can pretty much buy every component off the shelf. bottom end, cam, heads, intake, only thing custom is the carby i'm pretty sure. he uses afd 2vs
  21. my xc may as well be fucking pedal powered at the moment.... clapped out pos.
