1. Dohc don't fit under the bonnet. And are coil on plug. Are expensive to upgrade . Sohc I belive is the best option. You can get good tune chips for $200 . Abit more comp and a decent cam and a sohc is going to out perform dohc any day and for half the money.

Sent from my XT925 using Tapatalk 2

2. You can tint some tub liner paints in a few different colours . I used some on a mates ute . It was tinted red. Looked good. Needed 4 cans for good coverage. Can't remember the brand but I'm sure any helpfull paint shop should steer you in the right direction. I found it best to crank the reg on the compressor right up and spray it with really hi pressure. The stuff covers imperfections really well. I filled 4mm rust holes with it.

Sent from my XT925 using Tapatalk 2

3. Free up the exhaust . Mine uses a stock system I removed the front muffler from it was $105 new. Plus 20 dollar for abit of pipe to fill were the muffler went And Extractors would be a good place to start . A j3 chip might be the go after that . I've just fitted a largeish wade grind and a custom j3 on LPG with the good exhaust. See what it turns out in s few weeks power wise. Cost me a fair bit to do as I've had the head reco and I cleaned then ports up abit my self . I've spend nearly 2000 to do the head and cam and adjustable cam gear and j3 chip . And that's me doin all the labor . Minus recoing the head.

  4. Gaz sold it all bro...but in all honesty its the old how long is a piece of string? 1 engine will take 25psi and next only 8psi and alot based on tune but other things like chamber design and compression ratio come into it aswell as lower comp means you can push more boost in.Good tune regardless of who does it where and it will be safe, bad tune and it will die.

Haha there you go. And that's it there is so many factors . Tuneing being one of the bigger . Setting limits. Don't go crazy boosting it up straight away. Baby steps .

  5. Thanks for the info . My xg has a gas ring and the ute is off the road for a tidy up . Fitting a 1673 wade grind and just a tidy up in the ports . I'm going to bid on a 225 and converter thats feed back and ill just stick a clean air vavle in it. Later on I'm thinking broadband manifold and twin 225s.

  6. What I do is machine locators that sit in the axle tube and inner bearing housing run a long peice of chrome bar through the housing . Cut the axle tubes off half way down the tube . Part off the tube to shortended length and weld it back together . As long as you make sure the bar still slides its pretty well inline. Mind you the chrome bar I use it worth 1000 or more dollars and I have a decent lathe as well.
