So the car is now registered.. seeing it's getting hot and my girlfriend wants her Vw finished I decided I'll just drive the xf for a bit .. so seeing it was so slow I've changed things a bit Fitted Aussie speed manifold , carby spacer I machined down to fit perfect , v8 elbow and stainless intake pipe . Can't speak highly enough about those Aussie speed manifolds , totally changed how it goes .. pulls much better in the top end , hopefully do some dyno runs soon .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. I'm going to have some spac rims turned into 15x8s and run 255/50/15 drag radials on my xf .. A lot of people suggest 4.5 inch back space for off the shelf rims I've always found they hang out a bit to far and rub a bit .. Just wonder what people thoughts are ? What offset would you run if you could run any ??? probably going to get a band sent over and measure it all up any way but thought ide see what you guys think also ...   5. About time I pull my finger out my arse and get this thing on the road .. Booked it in for a roadworthy .. done a heap of stuff to get it ready ... the guy didn't like the wheels so I ghetto'd up some spacs I had laying around .. hopefully this time next week it won't be far off having plates on it ..   6. All of the above .. the tuning is done via jets and changing metering rods . But the balance line has to be done correctly or it causes backfires and so on , you need more pressure in the converters than psi going in the throttle .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Keep the lpg and pull the petrol out [emoji6] My au gets about 600ks a tank on the hwy . Cost about $50 to fill the tank .. If you put some more timing in it and it will go well also . Only problem is in country towns it's hard to get lpg .. It's kinda a unfinished project , I just put the 225 there because it fits better .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I remember now a freind of mine had issues with torque management on his ba .. using hp tuners ... this was 6 or so years ago .. I'm not sure he ever solved it .. it was also a pain because you could never drive it hard untill about 100kmph Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. Yeah I welded them up .. just because I wanted to run it on lpg ... it just kinda made me dedicate to it .. and the plenum the same .. It's a smooth transition out of the plenum into the head .. I dunno what affects it will have over still having them there .. surly you would get a bit of turbulence there ..   12. Finally finished up with the head .. the intake ports had the most work .. the exhaust only got a tidy up in a few spots .. Layed the chamber out around the inlet valve .. removed the swirl lump in the camber. It's got race seat / valve job Stainless valves Atomic 30psi rated valve springs .. that have been slightly shimed up .. Came up good for a low $$ head .. hopefully it can get me to around the 500hp mark with that cam . And 20-25psi boost . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. With a stock motor and just a j3 you can't .. plus a street engine would never see the revs .. For a stock street engine I would still run a bbm .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. That's not entirely true .. the bbm is more restrictive.. but gives better air speed .. so torque is much higher .. I ran a log manifold on my ute .. 10.5 Comp .. 1521a cam . Real good porting job . Made 220hp with bbm Makes 250hp now with a stock log .. Andy sanders at specialised power porting suggest the change .. On stockish motors the bbm works and drives fantastic.. but at higher rpm it's restrictive .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
