Tko with a 26mm spacer on a top loader bellhousing will use a standard length auto tailshaft, slight modification to the gearbox mount shifter comes out the stock hole
-
That's the right attitude
-
Ef one just modify it a fraction

I put one in a boat (just the baby thumpr) running a 351 with 302 heads and it was an animal didn't break a sweat pulling 4 skiers up at once
-
That would be my other choice for A cam is a thumpr (no spelling mistake) they sound wicked but in reality they are very driveable, make good torque too
-
Should be pretty easy, negative shouldn't matter as long as there is a earth on the fans and the relay, at worst all you have to do is run a switching wire to the positive side of the relay and the demister switch easy as

I had this problem for ages, changed modules, and every ignition component on my CT in the en it turned out to be the fuel pump couldn't draw through the fuel filter, changed it and fixed the problem

Not that it removes much, but have you compensated for the valve reliefs, and how far down the bore a piston is at tdc, plus head gasket thickness when compressed?

Dish tops and closed chambers are perfect for street driving, and hydraulic cams a perfectly fine on the street there's no need to build a monster, particularly if you've never driven with that kind of power before, a good tourquey can is a comp cams 268h, designed for a clevie in a motor home. I run one in the 351 my customline it pushed my 2100kg barge to a 13.5 down the 1/4 and it's a real basic engine, stock crank, rods, pistons, UN ported 2v closed chamber heads, bolt on roller rockers a torque power dual plane air gap intake, stock manifolds and a twin two inch exhaust with a 600cfm edelbrock Corby. It made 260HP at 5300rpm at the rear wheels but it made 400ftlb at 2000rpm, I use it for towing, go for a cruise with a bunch of mates and it will rip a skid at the drop of a hat that's all you really need in your Ute with a good 4-500kg advantage overt car would be plenty of fun, you don't need to go crazy you just need to build a nice combo

Places like elgas and super gas sell pure propane put of the pump, the gas sold at most servos is.a shandy of propane and butane. Pure propane is a better quality and you will see a slight benefit from using it, but if it readily available to youthere huge benefits from getting your gas system tuned for it

Im into manual to but the customline is a cruiser and i dont want to cut up my bench

Do you mean spark or park? If spark you ignition module or cap and motor might be dodgy, pull the cap and rotor ( pain in the ass on a xg) and try to wipe it out and spray some crc ot wd40 in there to try and drive the moisture out

If there is enough meat in the 4.0 bellhousing to re-drill for a single rail would be about the only way are clutch and maybe a little modification to the gearbox mount, shifter position should be the same position
-
Typo that was meant to be 85°
-
That's along the lines Im starting to think not may places in as seem willing to do one

Alloy thermostat housing with a 95° thermostat

What box did you have before? If it was a single rail or 3 speed manual you can still use the came speedo gear, if it was an auto you need a new one as the pitch on the gear is in the opposite direction

If using a disk brake borgy diff as a donor for the e series it is possible to use the early brakes ( well it measures up like they should) but a drum brake diff uses slightly different axle flange compared to disc brake style

I've already got one, i knew parts were dear i should of asked does anyone here build them

You can run a temp sender straight into the water pump i actually run two ( one for the in dash gauge that's 50 years old and tells lies and one for the supermarket temp gauge) you will have to enlarge the photo but you can see it in the pic one sender in the block one in the water pump, I've swapped them around couple of time and both locations read within 5° of each other

Im a big fan of the tfc on a couple of engines I've seen/ used them on they seem to hold their own down low against most dual planes, but theyve mainly been on strokers
