macdaddy didnt actually do the mod himself.He states that he got a bloke at a carby specialist store to do the work to the carby. -

Either way if you fit it or you get someone to fit the gas system it requires a check by a licenced gas mechanic,so i dont see the problem.They check for leaks,they check to make sure the tank is in date,check condition of all gas components,check if the sheild is fitted around the tank etc.

Actually in the long run fitting LPG,your running costs are cheaper.Just make sure your regular maintenance is up to key.

Not sure if the xf is the same,my xe efi i used a vr intank fuel pump.Workes fine.

4L's easy to come by and i would use an AU motor as they are cheap as chips and can handle abit of boost,before rods start bending.

Run an airgap if its only a mild setup,if your getting serious a single plane highrise with a 1inch spacer would work well,TFC etc make some good ones.

Ok,my 83 model XE 4.1 efi falcon stalls while driving.When it stalls you can leave the car to roll and put it into neutral and start straight back up no dramas,then drive roughly 20m and the same again...... Any of you guys come across this????

Yes i used a multimeter set to volts. i have also tryed a new ignition coil as well. Didnt get a chance to look at it today but will have another go at it on the long weekend.
