XR-XF Falcon Coil Over Conversion kit

Cool. 275 is wide enough I guess. Lol. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk -
Cool. Thanks mate. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

What kind of hp do these different generally hold before they grenade? Is it worth rebuilding the factory diff with the gearing I am after, or should I just bite the bullet and source an eb v8 diff? The diff will probably be getting narrowed, as I am planning on running mini tubs. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

Yeah. Don't see them at the wreckers much anymore. I do recall a Volvo, called the lolvo, using the 8.8 behind a turbo ls motor. It broke other stuff but not the diff. Will just stick with what's cheaper and easiest. Was just curious and seeking info. Thanks mate. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

I mean best, by using ???/60/15s on the rear. I would like reasonable launch speed and a reasonable 100kmh highway rpm. May take a bit of mucking about. Anyone used the Ford explorer 8.8 different?

I assume a 3.46 or 3.27 will be best for a 6spd auto. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

Talked to the diff guys, and they said just go a 78 series diff. Heaps cheaper in the long run. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

XR-XF Falcon Coil Over Conversion kit

Was just chatting with a mate who does fabrication work. And he is of the opinion the crs gear is a bit shite. Which I was surprised at. And he wasn't even trying to sell.me his services. Lol. He also said my plans of mini tubs are mostly a waste of time as the suspension setup doesn't really cater to wider wheels. And the diif can't be narrowed, unless I go a proper 4 link and move everything. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk -
Got a couple of supposedly decent diff builders in Rockhampton who do alot with the speedway cars, so hopefully one of the older guys will be able to help me. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

I kinda want it for the show factor. But I get what your saying. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk -
Ok cool. It will have a barra in front of it, with cams and an auto with a stallie. Then turboed. Maybe turboed straight away if I can find a decent turbo conversion straight away for the coins I have. So if I rebuild the original diff, I will try source 28 spline internal and axles? Oh yeah. I'll try the crs tubular kit. Pricey, but looks trick. I got the rrs price list emailed and I can't see me shopping there. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk -

Anyone actually used this from cars.? I am planning on grabbing one for the fairmont. But would love a bit of real world feedback -
Can anyone tell me If the zf 6spd will fit into an x series without tunnel mods? Or is it just easier to run the btr 5spd? Google doesn't help. Any pics of mods needed are also welcome.

Seals that then. Fuel cell in the boot, and an underbody mounted surge tank.

Will the standard pump feed a surge tank for a barra? Or will it not keep up with a efi pump.

Some 2008 seats. 100 bucks. https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/surfers-paradise/auto-body-parts/2008-ford-bf-fairmont-front-bucket-seats-pair-very-average/1309205798 Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

The whole car scene is ridiculous. I almost bought a pontiac earlier this year for cheaper than I could any decent Holden or Ford. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

Just don't tell anyone. But repco should be able to tell or find out for you if they are adr. They bolt to your original rails don't they? Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

Will check that out. My son works for repco, who now own rsre spares, so I'll get it for employees cost. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

It's ridiculous we don't have a bigger aftermarket. These cars will slowly disappear, simply because of part scarcity. In the USA, you can build an entire 69 camaro with all new parts. Sent from my SM-G986B using Tapatalk

I have the grey interior on my fairmont, so will be putting black carpet, black door accents, and black seats in.i would dobthe whole interior in black, but for the moment I'm doing a budget build. (LOL). I think those 2nd seats look era worthy.
-
I like the 2nd pics of the black ones. The screen style seats look nice, but are they 638 buckaroos for one or a pair?

Will call him Monday morning. Set an alarm to remember even.
