Yes all those blocks were dipped in that red stuff to stop corrosion b4 sending out and there is your proof still can see the red oxide, lately have also seen many like that one still in the ford cardboard box on temeyer clevo/400 site. Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk

I didn't buy the media because the guy at trade tools said your compressor is to small so I just tided the manifold up a tad and Tuesday will take it too the pro's,I will get em to blast the bare heads too so I can have something to do,1973 cast on the manifold yet D4 at the front. I had to buy a 9/16_12 tap to clean up the head bolt holes I had all the other sizes as I have collected a lot of special ford tools over the years. Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk

I will take it down to the machine shop and get him to take out the old cam bearings and hot tank it,plus dip it in a rust solution tank made of citrus or something as that will clean it up even better . Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk

Just looking at stroker cranks and stroke kits to 545 c.i. there is a million different kits available it's very confusing, seems about $2500 is the cheapest version with 4.500 stroke, but you get everything. 545 c.i is the biggest a STD block can take it seems Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk

I just google it and some say don't get it bead blasted cause bits of glass might stay in there but surely you would wash the crank several times b4 final assembly I think sand blasting will be fine Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk

Knowing full well these cranks are farked unless throw $350 at em each to clean up I just needed to see what size they were and there might be some hope for this one it's STD mains 3.000 and 2.500 rod so maybe a 20/20 would clean up nice once the rust is gone.i see it says 2yab Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk

Exhaust side is choked with a hump but inlet side is massive, same as manifold,I also wire brushed the mains on both cranks just to get a idea on size and the both measure up at around 3.000 which is the STD size I haven't checked the big ends yet but guessing it's STD. He said fark I left em at home with other stuff to go with it but all is good he is coming down from Toowoomba in 3 weeks time. Sent from my SM-A125F using Tapatalk
