Hey guys, so i figured as i need one, cant find one that isnt cracked to pieces ill make one from sheet metal Im just after the dimension of height width depth, the lip depth that screws into the top of console and any other dimensions of odd turns shapes it may have. Hope you can help me out be much appreciated! -
damn i need to get one of these setups! definitely after ive sorted the maintenence issues!

yeah at the fly mate. Its a c10, its already got an R servo. Alright, sounds pretty achievable, although i may just get some else to do it for me, wouldnt want to make a mistake.

Hey guys, soon i want to rebuild my transmission. At the moment its got some delay when selecting from reverse to netural then to drive, neutral-drive selection can sometimes be about 3 seconds before engaging. I think its got some worn seals inside. I want to have a go at rebuilding it myself with my dad. I was looking at something like this kit to rebuild http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-AUTOMATIC-TRANSMISSION-REBUILD-KIT-FORD-C4-C9-C10-high-performance-v8-6cy-/121088916904?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c31763da8 What are things to replace when rebuilding the C4? so far i know the reverse servo piston should be changed. I also want to give it a bit more than standard, handle as much power as possible without going manual valve body, roller bearing, forged gears etc.. Ive read some stuff about oil modifications on the box. Just after some advice. I was quoted $1500 drive in drive out for around a 400hp box. Its a C10 behind a crossflow.

Alright, just trying to gather info to see if i could rebuild it myself. so 400hp is fine on a stock rebuilt c4?
-
its got the 40-2 shift kit in at the moment would i need a new one? also would kevlar bands be a good idea. what are some good things to do to get it to hold that 400hp range.
-
thanks mate was acutally waiting for your reply. i fitted a large b&m cooler when i put the c10 behind the crossflow as well as i got a std reco torque converter of tyler06. Just need to do the trans side of things.

you should get away with the pressure wash for a few days, then it will start dripping down the bell again.

Removing old bushes, UCA, LCA. How to? Advice?
mcfly94 posted a topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
Hey guys i need to change my UCA bushes and LCA inner bushes, pedders are a rip off an are $25 every push/press so that would cost me $300 at pedders to do it, i looked into getting a shop press and found a 6ton for $200, but i dont haave the money for that, whats the home option? Surely you guys have done it without a shop press. Also read about putting a brace in the LCA were the bush is U shape and bracing that with some steel, welding it in to prevent crushing the LCA. -
Hey guys after some recommendations on shocks, no i dont want to go see my local pedders, as there a bunch of hill billlys, long story short dont take your car to pedders salisbury. Im running ultras in the rear will always be running r16 with either 50 or 60 series, megatowers due to go in, and currently running shortened ultima shocks, these shocks have a harsh rebound rate, and i feel all of the bumps and its a really stiff and hard ride. I want a good shock for everyday adelaide shocking roads (crap cracks, dips, eneven etc..) that will soak up the average bumps without the thud, anyone got a good recommendation? at the same time i dont want the thing to float and sway, in the middle. Help will be much appreciated as always!

hit them with some 400 wet and dry, go to 600, then 800 then 1200 then hit them with autosol and a mop on battery drill, youll see your reflection in them.

Anyone know how many litres left in an XF 63 liter tank when the light comes on?

That comp would be definitely on 98! if not over 100.
-

-
xe gauge and dash
-
get it built well and balanced and you can see it to 7500rpm even with 11.5:1 Comp Go Flat tops, decent solid cam, 2v closed chambers worked, weiand accelarator with 750 Holley. Good for just over 200rwkw.
