  1. it is, ive only ever seen one for sale and it was $50
  2. Got to better than the shitty original that has a hole in the plastic because it has deteriorated!
  3. probably would xd came with v8, xf didnt
  4. not set on an xf v8 more so on the car I already have haha, id go an xe any day or even xd!
  5. yeah well that is shit if they say that, the things are so much more stronger and solid than the shitty xf seats that break rails constantly.
  6. don't exactly want to take it to regency to find out either.
  7. lets hope not! all the original holes have been filled in!
  8. alright cool , cant wait to get it in!
  9. all I did was bolt the seats straight to floor, ht 5/16" bolts, bolted ba seat brackets in for the rear using 5/16" ht bolts and was done.
  10. yeah that's gay, on another note, do you need to get a change of seats mod plated?
  11. what you mean? to do the driveline? I know to keep my mouth shut to, dad made that mistake when he asked if his cam was alright to be in there, and it wasn't haha.
  12. yeah I know, few things I wouldn't pass for atm, too low, too loud, egr pipe gone, and I don't know what they would say about the ba seats.

Cleveland exhausts - anybody made their own?

    tell me about it!
  14. I know what it is like to go through regency, car will pass if all bushes are in well condition, good steering box, non frayed seat belts, working electrics, decent body work, good tyres, no oil leaks what so ever, and just a well built car, which is what I want anyway. how can you say xf brakes are rubbish when I have girlock calipers which are the same as xa/xb/xc/xd/xe, factory fitted calipers, and I say xf better due to rear brakes mostly being discs. don't think I could start another car.
  15. I know someone that did it in Adelaide. extra reinforcing for what? suspension is easy as pie, change front springs brakes are better on the xf anyway and generally have greater braking ability over xd/xe, I have eb rear diff and brakes anyway. sounds so much easier just to go the turbo option then...
  16. just if I cant find a roller block
  17. not engineering it, unless of course I become one. Many in Adelaide have passed a 5l efi in xg/xf with just a mod plate
  18. yeah I could run msd or holley efi that bolts on a carb its only $2500 setup, but would regency like that setup rather than a standard ecu setup.

Cleveland exhausts - anybody made their own?

I did an exhaust for my xf, single 2.5" with hooker aerochamber. What I did of it was perfect, all done with a gassless mig. Welded a flange on the extractors, tacked piece by piece to where I wanted it to run and sit. The only bit I didn't do was the section that passes over the diff, I got a rear section from upullit that had a big resonator on it with 2.5" dump tip, so I welded that to mine, and yeah it was shit should of made the whole lot myself, it use to knock the sway bar. So I took it to an exhaust shop because I was going to do it again, handed over $120 and he bent a half meter section that bends over the diff and welded it in. I say go for it, but make sure you do it all yourself and don't use someone elses stuff as it probably wont fit your needs! I thought it was fun and feels like a good accomplishment! cost me in the end around $520, that's steel, hooker aerochamber, the resonator, flanges/bolts/gaskets, flame proof and heat proof paint and labour to have that over diff section done.

    el thermo fans onto xf

you need twin relays with el thermos, thermatic switch easier, stuff flicking switches constantly, fitting is not to hard, cutting of the black plastic is required, custom mount to radiator etc..

    Testing Hall effect sensor?

Is it possible to test the hall effect In a tfi dizzy, ive got spark in my ignition setup (Street Fire CDI, Blaster 3 coil, TFI dizzy) Check was done by tapping the trigger from the cdi to ground while holding the coil lead to ground, spark was crazy. But when I try to start the car, I the led light dosent flash on the street fire, timing light dosent flash and dosent spark.

    Testing Hall effect sensor?

are you still on locked timing? yeah I don't know either, think its the tune, I moved my earths, battery start to starter housing, and then block to chassis, and have battery to metal in the boot. Still only 8awg for the starter cable from the boot.
