was hoping someone else would answer this question. but I know I sent a xf lsd centre plus my xy diff to the shop and what I got back was a xy lsd diff. so I think the answer is YES.

I have done this. when i fitted the T5 behind the x-flow i had in my xw wagon, i used a cross flow bell housing and the pivot and fork off a three speed bell housing and welded a pad onto the bell housing to suit the slave cylinder, are you a member of x-falcon as it should all still be on there. still have the bell housing if you need to see pictures

can I had this to the table, if you did use a diff from a xe-f ute etc that I think are the same width as xa-c?? you could run some au-on rims. I went the other way in my xa, put a xy diff in it which moved the wheels in one inch per side. as the spring mounts are on the same centre. but if I was you I would fit a xf centre like I did.

the diff i had in the xw wagon before the 9" was a xy diff with a xf LSD center, that cost me $700 nz dollars, that was to to fit the LSD into the diff with new bearings throughout and new cones.

like the title says, are v8 ford starters the same?? have been looking at starters for both my 351c and the 460BB, the 460 is the main one as I need a adjustable one to try to clear the RRS steering rack, and these type of starters seem to state they fit all models including the Windsor?? I know the starter I got with my 351c is a auto one that has a spacer to more it out to suit the toploader bell housing. does anybody know??

my local shop has a proform part# 66271 so have email rocket to see if that can be used.

i had trouble bleeding the xa after fitting the new master cylinder, did every thing i knew but could not get the air out. borrowed a vacuum bleeder and bingo fixed it straight away. so brought a cheep one.

what are you going to cut it with?? do you need a cad file for a profile cutter??

hey thanks, i will fit the flutes in the guards one day, the car has some rust blowing out, so hope to get a few more years out of it before a full panel and paint. starting a build thread on this car so for more info check it out.

hey i need some help with the correct placement of some xa gt badges, need some measurements for the guard and boot ones?? heres some pics of it.

yes they do, i am the second owner from new. only got it from the owner as he wanted the .82 gear ratio so it would still pull hard the 5TH, have had the box bolted to the bell housing and on to the engine. no problems with the fit.

i have a old cast iron bell housing , most likely had a top loader at some stage. needs some work/ welding to fit the slave cylinder, picked up a whole xa pedal box the other day. not sure if i need to change the whole thing or just fit the clutch pedal?? also have the old cast iron flywheel that suit the 11" plate. are these any good to say 6000 rpm? and the box is a 26 spline TKO 500.

hey if you do find it that would be great, going to be doing a bit of work on this car over the next few weeks. going to swap out the engine for a mild 351c and five speed. shell i start a new thread or just use this one??

did you ever find that book? as have still not put the fender and boot badges on yet.

hey be keen to hear from people using flowmaster mufflers on their v8, these would be going on my 460 BB in the wagon, watched some YouTube vids of the different sounds, is the super 44 too loud?? would be the 3" ones,

am a bit surprised by the reaction so far, not to sure what expensive is over there. but here they are $170 each to the door.

well the cold weather has hit new zealand, think i may need to farm out the painting of my xw wagon project, so if there are any car painters out there that could give me some idea as to want a paint shop may charge to paint my car. would be all ready to spray with all panels off the car and on rolling stands, i have the paint that i would like to have sprayed. is just a 2k solid colour, so two coats should do it. looking for some idea so when i go see a shop i have a fair price in my head. all they have to do is wheel it in and spray.

hey thanks bear, yeah got a few xw's, not sure if it would have got crushed, but i am pretty sure that the body would not have made it back on the road if i did not buy it, not sure if you have seen the amount of rust it had in it? the outside body was rusty, but nothing on the amount of cunty bits under the back, what i have done is far from a prefect panel job but like you said atleast its going back on the road, keep an eye on my build thread as there will be some interesting things happening very soon.

hey i agree with everthing said by all those above, this car is by far not my best so will just get a cheaper job, in saying that it will be straight, am a little while from the paint stage, so will go see a young guy down the road and see what he can do for c ash.
