EF-AU are the same box just different bellhousing on the AU....
BA have a different box again and internal wiring is different.

EF & EL should be the same too....
Just change the bellhousing over.

They have a metal clip inside the new ones....
quick sharp knock upwards with a hammer... Use a piece of wood (dowel works good) between hammer and mirror...

LSD does help James in the wet and also allows you to drift like a pro in a ZL

Falcon name will be dead - I believe I read somewhere that Ford Aus thinks the name shouldn't be used on anything else given what it's came to mean to Australians.
I agree... If it aint built here and its not rear wheel drive,,, I would rather it not be called a Failcon....
Holden owners on the other hand will love their new front wheel drive Commonwhores

I used a Thermo switch off a Diahatsu as it has a 3/8 thread to control the fans on high speed

Like I said before, I run HID's in high beam on my old BA and they were awesome in the hills and the open road... No good around the city or backstreets as reflective signs were a bitch... It lights up god dam everything... You know your lights are doing there thing when Truckies flash you before the crest of a hill and you pass each other 3 minutes later....
Mine were a 55w 4300k H7 setup....
-
I always thought the XF-ED had a taller 1st and the EF-L had a lower 1st...
-
Hids are great as High Beams tho.... As normal lights I agree
-
I did this on my BA... Didnt need a relay....
Just be aware it takes about 10-20 seconds for hids to reach full intensity....
Worked friggin awesome on the BA....

Is it this stuff?
They sell the black stuff too

I landed up selling the HD a year later for double what it owed me...
Still wish I had kept it tho but the misses said it had to go... ZL is my second attempt.....

Biggest cost is the ECU and wiring setup for a Barra..
But a Barra Engine is $500 all day long. 4 speed auto about $800 and a good 3.23 or 3.45 LSD about $500 all using 2nd hand parts...
182kw stock..... (BA Engine) 190kw stock (BF engine)
Better still a 5 speed....
Might need to add some decent rubber too cos this will have no traction at all
And it will munch any BA/BF/FG XR6........
1250KG for a XD/F compared to 1750KG BA+
and it also lends itself to a turbo upgrade later if you so wish....
