Could be just running rich on startup and may just need tuning but depends on the system. Impco systems tend to do that.... Will wait til I can see what system it is tho

I seen a video and they used spray on paint stripper and a hose.... found it..... -
One of the reasons I want to do the EA2 conversion too...... Get rid of that horrible restriction from the AFM
-
I can understand 800 to 600... Thats why I played with mine to try and get it better.... Seems its just a ZL EFI thing by the sounds of it....
-
does on mine.... Mines exactly the same.... 600 rpm drive - 1000 neutral..... Not too fussed to be honest as it idles great at the lights and doesnt stall.... Was worse when I got it.....

Remember these had 14 inch wheels standard

Car trackers, home CCTV precautions for car security
tpak addict replied to Xelisty's topic in Interior and Car Audio
want a cheap car tracker.... Got a spare android phone handy??? even better with GPS enabled Get life360 on the android phone and hard wire it into the car with a prepaid sim behind the dash Pair it with your phone that you normally use..... That way you can track the phone to around 70 metres (and the car) radius...... -
Did you do the back as well?? How much out is it?
-
they go on the flat part of the spring.... usually the top.... I put them in the back of my Lane as it was tooo loooow and scraping on the guards
-
The EFI pump is pretty big compared to a AU/BA pump so it should be able to fit.... there is enough room I would think
-
Yep..... young fella's who have no idea..... My local has 2 very good lads that are into cars and do the wheel aligns.....
-
Wholeheartedly agree.... I could go on about a couple cars I have had years ago that had "character"..... lol
-
My ZL is the same... checked plugs and regapped, leads tested ok, etc etc even changed the AFM (EFI 4.1) and still its not quite where I would like it to be..... But it runs well, doesn't stall and generally goes pretty hard for what it is.... My BA I just take for granted its running at the lights.... so smooth at idle.... Funny thing tho I just love driving the Lane....
