Found a place I can get clear xf sedan rear indicator lens made. Need to get numbers of interest to get exact quote. But its estimated at around $90 each side. Thats the lens only.

Cant find enough people interested, muight look at buying thw whole lot myself. Then if anyone ever wants a set I'd sell them a pair.( at a huge profit to myself though.) The price of $176 a set is only for those that get in now.

I've finally had a reply from manufacturer, he can make them for $176 a pair. Thats based on 10 pairs and needs a deposit of $50 for each pair. Anyone seriously interested please let me know asap.

I'm sure he could make all new lenses. But the sets of taillights I have are good. So I won't be chasing up the rest of them

I contacted SSS about a year ago. They said they will never produce them again, not even for a very large quantity

The amber lens can be removed without touching the rest of the light. And the new lens simply glued on . Not sure why you need to make those kind of negative comments, if you're not interested don't buy.

Seems noone is interested, I'll just buy 10 pairs myself. Plenty of spares.

Was told to use a hotknife. Or a dremel. Or if not going to use the amber lens ever again ,a hammer.lol. Luckily I have a second set of lights(waiting to be picked up).

It is plastic welded on. And is a separate piece to brake light. The replacement lens would just be glued on. The guy making uses this glue.

Original colour is silver slate. Autowest can make it for me.

Have decided to get my xf painted gloss black ,but undecided about window trims. Should I keep them chrome or get painted satin black. The finished product will be badgeless( might keep guard n rear ghia badge) and already removed all body moulds. Any and all opinions are welcome.

No not going original colour, well mybe that would look good. Save on doing door trims n under bonnet n boot.

So many good colours. Narrowed it down to black, silver ,gunmetal grey or a dark metallic blue. The black would be easiest for me to paint but most body work. Have another boot lid I might sample each colour on.

Gloss black with chrome trim does look awesome.

picking the colour and wheel design are so far the hardest things about the build.

After looking into the amount of bodywork I'll have to do, think another colour might be on cards. maybe silver?

So gloss black body n keep the chrome surronds. With nice set of 18's staggered. I'm hard thinking of it. Lol
