    Crossflow Build Advice

My turbo motor has cast pistons, its in the tune. Dont drop 1k on pistons that will most likely not be needed. I loooove this thread though

    XD Headlight Globe Change

I dont know if they still make them but a few years back autotechnica made white light h3 globes and they were amazing. They were "not legal for road use" but still really good. Bigcav may be able say if they re still produced.
  4. If its stock internally, that stock engine isnt far off maxxing its potential power output. Not to say it couldnt make a stack more(because it would). But ive always been told ~250rwkW is a good figure to work with. Any more and you'd start looking at spool or 200 rods. My 2c
  5. didnt this get detuned to protect the driveline?

    Crossflow Build Advice

Solid advice going on in here. 250 rods arent the weakest thing going around, several turbo motors run them to great effect(300rwhp+)not to mention torque. And the ARP rod bolts are future proof and reliable. Goodluck with it all

    Turbo 4.0l SOHC into TD

I dont think sohc is to be under-estimated. Alot of bits are made for them and if your after a simpler setup you cant go wrong. On the other hand, dohc have alot going for them too. Turbo cortinas are awesome, goodluck with the swap

    LPG and numberplate sticker legalities

NZ lpg sticker looks like a nitrous sticker on drag cars. Lol rad. So if understand right, if the car was put on lpg say before 1993 it doesnt need a compliance plate and if it meets current regs it doesnt need a plate?

    XH rear bumper onto XF

You could also just do away with the bar completely

    XH rear bumper onto XF

I did this conversion on my old ute. Afaik it bolted to the old brackets but i suggest you should be ready for some shimming with washers or the like as it may not clear the body perfectly as mine didnt. With my existing towbar which was a medium duty item, i decided to upgrade to heavy duty whilst converting. Although with the right hardware, the towbar couldve worked, ie different gooseneck. Hope this helps

    thai front guards

Im wondering if anyones had dramas with alignment on these repro guards. Ive just had my xe painted and my painter reckons theyre impossible to get right. By eye theyre slightly out, is he talking shit or are they bad?

    thai front guards

So if thats the case, these guards should be able to be gapped right. I think ill hinge kit my doors first and find someone to do the gaps. Im no panel guy
