Thats the one I've heard everyone on here talking about. Seems to be the go. Now I have the good oil, ryco filters are still good to use? Also a quick one, external oil cooler an overkill for this thing?

Should be priced $35 from memory too

That doesnt have enough info to buy I'd say. You want 10mm d-profile moulding. Just double check your opening in the bumper

Any autobahn or repco should be able to order it in. The red is hard to come by in stock, rarespares also can stock it. A company in qld makes it apparantly. I put them on my XE at the beginning of the year and they set it off

Power level? Boosted? More info perhaps? Intresting thread will stay posted

Thats where I remember this from, FAF! Cool build, what diff setup was going in this? I may have missed it when I read though
-
Well ill be pushing a wrecker OHC and see where the limits would be. I wouldnt be 9inching either. Not worth the stuff around when bits for the borgwarner are tough and not as heavy

Just doing abit of research, is a 500rwhp turbo 4L acheivable on a relatively stock setup? Do i need rods, pistons, headwork etc to make it work? Or could a cam and some bits and pieces get it there? Basically what are the limitations of a 4L ohc?

Wouldnt be up for a barra, at least i dont think i would. This is just a project idea floating around in the back of my head. It involves a PG and e85 with plenty of boost

No cams no porting no springs etc? Intresting

Not much difference then haha

Has that got a 5speed in it? Cool

AU 16s are a guilty pleasure of mine on xds anyway. Millions out there, only problem is the offset really
-
Efi and chill. Plus all the alloy bits; heads, manifold etc. Very dissapointed you didng go boosted.

Can you cut and shut the firewall to move the outlets?

Hey y'all, mate of mine has an '66 XR sedan he is fixing up. He wants to know about good brake upgrades to make (read: not wilwoods all around etc). Later model falcon stuff fit them? Booster improvements? AFAIK he will be running a standard 6 in there (will make him install windsor at some point), will an e-series wagon or ute diff bolt in? They are wider but is it worth it? Cheers guys
-
Yep probably will happen, Ive been speaking to him via msg because I'm OS this year so I dont get the full picture. He did say yesterday that he would like to drop in a windsor with self learning efi so I'll take that as a win. Body is apparantly quite rusty so it might be a looong project
-
XT and XY boosters the same? Think he was looking at an XT

B2s horizontal insure best function. Not that ive ever had them not horizontal

Oil cooled only, fairly sure lpg tends to run hotter than petrol. Shouldnt matter once i have water/meth injection setup.

Since I'm an "idiot", tell me the science behind drop spindles being terrible for a lowered car. Can you tell me about the x-series that had them installed that you tested? Serious question
-
So ive had mine at around 220f at winton doing skids around the track etc etc. Thats with a turbo 250 on lpg with 3core and el fans. Puked a little bit into the catch tank but its nothing serious. Normal cruising at 100kph itll sit on 185f with one fan turning. Just thought I'd share my info
-
Drop spindles would solve this but $$$$. I broke 2 front rh shocks when i ran the old xe low to the ground

TUFE replied to SPArKy_Dave's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
