i heard about this method where a dude lowered the sway bar to fit the au sump in. and used e series upper mounts on the xg mount in his xg ute
-
lol i dont know what kind of battery im running all i know is its top shelf kmart goods haha, it keeps my amp pumping for a while lol
-
hmmm i haven't got drops from the fans yet but i hardly have driven the car. i got a good battery too. though i might hook the wire to the alternator to avoid this. because i done what mcfly done.
-
lol mine seems to cope with the stock alternator. the thermo's come on for a couple minutes then the engines cold. and im running amp and sub off the battery too yes campo i knew i got ripped hahaha ripped good. its what happens when you get impatient and you want to take your car out for a spin

god damn brought a kit from a shop in lilydale. $92 later got my kit thought ohwell i wanted it now. and it must be allright for that price. opened the kit and it needed more shit! so got a couple relays a couple fuses and a bit of heatshrink a bit more wire. but eventually i got all the wiring loom sorted.ohwell atleast i got a nice little temperature adjuster. lol allmost thing the el fans keep my car too cold they smash the temp down fairly quickly. ohwell bit of an expensive exercise. ill be getting the kit xes got next time.

so im pretty sure ive read it somewhere. but can you actually put 351 clevo pushrods in a 250 cross flow? are they actually any stronger if so?
-
i took my rocket cover off pulled a pushrod out measured it at 9.550. im talking to a dude with brand new hardened ones they put them in his decked block and found out their too long so never been run before. sorry dude as i stated its a stage 2 cam and i dont know what the spring rates are but i noticed half the rods are hardened and the other half look stock. so i want a full set of hardened ones in there
-
thanks for the info. im getting some hardened ones at 9.550 hopefully if that sounds right?
-
yes i hate that crap to. pull apart whole clusters to get some resistors or something. just rip off trims or cut wires to get to shit. i use to know a dude that would do that shit and id absolutely crack the shits at him every time he done it. like its its not fucked then dont fuck it man. people might need that bit
-
sorry but is 9.550 going to fit then? i know a dude with some hardened ones at that length
-
will the steel sump fit from a old 4.0l onto a au motor? and will the xg mounts fit to the au motor?
-
yeh they like to throw pushrods to the crossies
-
lol my mechanic reckons the 4.0l can be pretty bulletproof but the crossy can match up with a cam change because the cams are shiite
-
nice bookmarked this thread
-
really. is yours a bit shorter?
-
thanks guys sorry im sort of hijacking your thread gspec but your doing about the same thing i plan on doing. im just trying to get all the info down on paper then start collecting and saving for all the parts i need. so then its a nice quick as it can be conversion. are you planning on using the old weber carb as a throttle body gspec?
-
got a picture of these pushrods yet? i cant afford roller rockers yet or better springs hey i was looking up the xc 250 pushrods apparently they are 9.652 x 5/16 would that even fit?
-
thats some good info. so can the streetfire be wired straight to a dizzy on a e series? instead of modifying a xe dizzy? no ignition computer needed? apart from the streetfire cdi. i suppose that is some kind of computer in its self i dont know damo i reckon a carby version could look better than efi. i dont like looking at efi in my engine bays. it makes me think what the and where the fark do i start
-
4 barrel manifold you can put a twin throttle body adapter on. and you dont need the emissions crap with lpg. it puts out fark all. my roadworthy dude saw some of the anti pollution gear plugged up or not connected. said he didn't care because its pretty much just on gas. because the petrol system didn't work. vicroads inspector didn't even blink a eye. this was on my 1990 xf ute with 250 crossflow. i want to do this because i want to do this sort of conversion in the future too. because 1 its the way i want the car. and 2 i want to try stay the f*** away from computers if its possible. just wouldn't mind a ignition computer.
-
why some guys run 2 coolant temp sensors in there alloy head
dizzy616 replied to LJDB's topic in Crossflow
yep i got one in my hose and one in my head. the one in the hose is for the thermo fans -
i notice some of the pushrods in my engine a different. some stock some i dont know? and would like to replace them all with stronger ones for the cam. still got stock rockers though i take it the springs should be set for the cam. got new lifters in it. i can just hear that little bit of a chatter. anyone got any recommendations on what i should get? it can hit 5k maybe a bit more. but id just be happy with ones that can handle 5k. seeing as i dont rev shit that hard its got a stage 2 cam what spec i dont know so 3/8th 9.550 is the size im looking for? is there any engines i can rip these out of with stronger pushrods
-
yes id like to see one in a xfalcon but the cost of parts and finding the parts is another thing and aren't they a bit longer? but their built to last and rev their guts out
-
awwwww but i like to. then you look up at the truckers give them a bit of a wave lol. i like the sound of the solvent idea. i got the seat given to me and its got a couple stains id like to make them look nice and then chuck them in
-
hey guys im looking for the best way to remove stains in seats. i got some velour seats i would like to remove the stains off them
-
if i where to run a v8 id probably put it on gas. just a bit more cost efficient and put 2 tanks in it you will get some decent k's
