I am probably a month And a half or so from Mine being finished. Jump on YouTube man and check out some rear mount turbo cars there are awesome. I think there is a well known brown Torana that’s a street car with the rear mount set up, it’s bloody cool and it’s very quick from memory
-
You will need a also wastegate I’m sure there will be other small items
-
I purchased mine from vpw for $2050. I am going a rear mount turbo less heat and mess in the engine bay, I can use the headers I already have and I don’t have to run a intercooler. i am running a single Holley fuel pump, 2 fuel filters and a regulator, the factory tank is removed I just need to buy a my fuel cell now. What do you get in that kit mate? Can you run power steering? Write down a full parts list of every thing you need man I will scare you.
-
I’ll have to post some pictures soon lol I looked into the centrifugal supercharger side of things and f!$k me they are expensive to get set up and running. That why I went the turbo path, but each to their own.
-
Yeah they are bloody cheap for what they can do, I’m currently Converting my Clevo to efi with boost and I have gone this path.
-
Have you thought about a Holley super sniper efi system? They are around $2000 you can run a turbo or supercharger or nitrous, they self tune they can control ignition timing and they have a shit load of other features.

Yeah I’m going to do a bit more research I think. I’ll take the grub screw to a few places tonight Hopefully some one can match it. I do remember holding the old 3/8 npt fitting next to the grub screw and the thread looked exactly the same.
-
I purchased a Aeroflow 3/8 npt to -4 fitting for a turbo oil feed line, I recently had to remove this fitting to upsize to a -6 oil supply fitting. When I removed the Old fitting I noticed the thread on the fitting wasn’t in good shape. Instead of the thread Pitch going up to nice sharp points it looked blunt does that make sense? so before I purchase the new fitting I just want to be certain that it is 3/8 npt. The factory grub screw winds in and out fine so it not cross threaded.
-
I’m bringing a old thread to life here does any one know the thread where the oil line exits the block near the oil filter? Is it 3/8 npt? any help would be appreciated, thanks scott

Hey mate, there was a xy that recently ran 10.7 at Calder park. The car runs a H pattern 4 speed toploader, I think Paul Rogers built the gearbox maybe give him a call. Toploaders are not cheap to rebuild and generally the gearbox builders use second hand gears ect with new gaskets, syncros and bearings, close to $2800.

Hey fellas, I’m currently deleting wires out of the factory loom on my xd. I have come across this green and white wire and I don’t know what it was for. I don’t recall ever using it, it goes from the engine bay through the fire wall to the red factory connector. I also can’t find it in the Gregory’s manual, any help would be fantastic. Yeah your right, I’ll probably regret it when I need it one day but it’s getting cut for now.
-
Both of you were correct it’s for the factory driving lights. I checked the factory spotlight wiring and their is a male round pin that goes to a green and white wire. It’s now time to cut the wire out of the car
-
From memory I think your right. Temp sender has a round plug And the wire is definitely not green and white. The choke is a single wire with a brown plastic plug that slots on to a male fitting. Yes it it looks like it was meant to be around the drivers side
-
Are you sure man? I pulled all my factory fog light wiring out of the car in one piece and can not remember it going to that wire. But I was more than likely drunk. I will check when I get home thanks for the reply I hope your right. It could be the trigger wire for the relay

Hey guys, just wondering if any one here has the knowledge how to tell the difference between xd xe v8 and 6cyl brake boosters. I have been told the v8 boosters are 290mm and the 6cyl ones are 220-230mm, I have never seen a 290mm booster before on a xd I might of maybe on a xf or xg.

Cheers man, yes I did read that thread it’s a great write up. I don’t think I would be comfortable doing the job myself. if it failed it’s on me, I don’t think I could handle if that caused me to crash my xd lol. I would love to see one of those 290mm brake boosters they would be freaking huge -

Wow well that’s good news, I have contacted multiple company’s and could not get a straight answer. I have also parted out lots of xd and xe’s v8 and 6cyl and never noticed a size difference. Looks like I’ll have no problems getting mine reco’d then hopefully lol -
Hey lads, I currently have my 4 speed toploader out of my ute at the moment as it was weeping oil from almost every seal from not being driven. Does any one know or has any one dealt with manual trans builder in Melbourne, I just need a seal kit put through the toploader and maybe a check over? i have heard auto trans guys won't touch them and I also had a quote to reco it! They said like $3500 I was Like what do I get for that? And they where like good old used parts with a new seal kit and bearing kit! What the fuck that's almost the price of a new tko 600

Hey man, thanks for the link I'll give them a buzz and see what they say or suggest. It also turns out I know someone who had a toploader reco'd by them $2800 and he is very happy. -

Yeah not super keen on a t5. I have a voice in my head telling would it work out better for me to just sell the box and shifter to xy owner ect. Then maybe go tko 600. The other voice tells me just go a built auto. F#ck I hate this lol.
